Various cultural events and festivals are organised throughout the year. Anual feast(udyaan) is main highllight. I like the college supportive environment with friendly and helpful professors and seniors.the college also offer various sport activity like cricket, football, and basketball.

Admission

Surendranath college is one of the most oldest and prestigious college in kolkata with reach history of academic excellence. The college has a team of experience and dedicated members who are expert in there respective feild. I have applied to many other college but the vacancy was not available. We have to fill out the form on the college website providing personal and academic details,then we have to pay the required application fees. After clearing the merit list we have to go through the admission process.

Faculty

Students praise the faculty members for being helpful and co-operative and knowledgeable in there respective subject.the college offer undergraduate and lost graduate course in art,science, and commerce. Internal and external exams are conducted regularly.

Night Life

The college host various events ,music concerts and drama performance. Student organized party.nearby hangout places are college street street food,bowbazar and sealdah. The nightlife in and around college is vibrant reflecting kolkata cultural and entertainment scene.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Our college known for internship program

Placement Experience:

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. About 60 to 70 percent students gets a different types of offer from different companies who visited our college, my plan is also to get a good and a decent package from our College

The best college for professional course students

Placement Experience:

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

If you get 58% marks minimum in 12th then you are invisible honours for this college.
