Remarks

The positives are that the college has a vast campus of 140 acres with excellent infrastructure. Friendly professors and students. Excellent assistance in academic point of view. The negatives are that the college is far away from the bangalore city. Outskirts of bangalore. It takes a good 90 minutes to travel by BMTC.

Internships Opportunities

No. It does not provide any internships. But it will help you get in contact with institutions or companies that can get you an internship in whatever field you are interested in. Mostly, you can get into software ones.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are really good. 100% placements. The highest is 12 Lakhs per annum. The job opportunity mostly comes in from the software and IT companies. For mechanical and electrical, you cannot find core companies. But you can definitely get placed into a software job if you have sound knowledge.

College Events

4

There are a lot of events celebrated in the college. The main fest is Kalanjali which is of 2 days. There are 2 or 3 mini fests. Upon that, there is sports day and Kannada language day. A lot of Scientific talks take place every month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you go in through Merit provided by state government in general quoto, you can get a seat by paying 55000 rupees a year. If you get in through COMED-K, it will cost you 1.5 lakhs. If you want to join in without any merits, it might cost you more than 5 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no scholarships offered. But you can get 500 Rupees if you score 8.5 GPA every semester. Loan facilities can be availed through the bank which has a branch at MVIT itself. Not much of a student friendly college in terms of financial point.

Campus Life

4.5

The labs have excellent facilities with fully equipped installations as required by VTU standards. The equipments and instruments are fully functional and the lab attendents offer complete support and guidance. There is a huge cricket field, football field, tennis court, basket ball court, volleyball court, indoor stadium. Excellent in sports infrastructure.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel infrastructure is of high grade. All the buildings are newly built and can have a comfortable accommodation. There are 7 blocks of boy's hostel and 2 blocks of girl's hostel. Excellent rooms. They are cleaned very often. Laundry facility is provided. Food is not too good, but eatable.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are all in very good position in the society with good paycheck. The senior students are supportive and friendly. There is no ragging in this college. There is a very strict and vigilant anti ragging squad. The seniors are helpful and assist us in any kind of difficulties in academic development.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is based on VTU pattern. There will be 3 internals and the final marks for the internals is the average of all 3 internals. You cannot miss any of them. The exam pattern will be easy to score. But the external exams can be as long as 40 days. So there won't be much time to do Internships as you don't get a lot of holidays after the Semester end examinations.

Admission

I achieved 6300 Rank in Karnataka CET. The CET officials do verification processes of required documents. The seat matrix are released in 3 or 4 rounds. I got into this college in the second round. It wasn't a bad choice to go at that time. It was one of the top VTU colleges.

Faculty

3

The faculty is good. But the VTU syllabus and curriculum has limited the ability of the faculty to impart more knowledge into students. They are well versed in their respective fields and can clear any doubts. They will help you in whatever projects or ambitious works you are planning to go at in the future.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
