Likes

It is very convenient to do the graduation from du sol as we can also pursue other works while doing the degree
We just have to go for giving exams and that's why we can focus on professional courses like CA
Teaching methods of du sol teachers is also pretty good

Dislikes

No social interaction is available if you are a student of du sol
You just go to college for giving exams and hence cannot participate in curriculum activities
Somehow the value of du sol degree is not that much relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue chartered accountants course that's why I opted for du sol so that I can give more time to ca exams Du sol can focus more on increasing social interactions and giving offline classes

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am doing bcom hons from du sol and yearly fees is around 9000. There are no extra charges as it is the school for open learning and classes are conducted online. No such financial aid is available for student in du sol and I don't find the course worth the time.

Campus Life

There is no college life for a student of du sol and hence there is literally zero social interaction which is the greatest disadvantage for a student of du sol. No sports and extra curricular activities are there

Admission

In du sol there is no criteria for choosing the college. There is no such eligibility also. Mostly student of commerce background select bcom hons course only as it is the most famous and easiest one. However there is no criteria for choosing the college

Faculty

There are 2 semesters each year and both semesters have 7 exams . Out of which 4 are main subjects and 3 are extra subject . We need 40% marks to pass the exams and students can easily score such marks

Night Life

No nightlife is there but if you opt for taking hostels you can enjoy a pretty good nightlife with friends but still most of sol students don't opt for taking hostels and end up without a college life.

The curriculum of the course includes core subjects such as Financial accounts,Bussiness law and Management principles in the first semester and four optional subjects.It is very helpful for carrier paths such as CA and CS.It gives us knowledge in managing our finances.The curriculum can include more practical knowledge.

I would say, the curriculum is also good, like we have labs, and tutorial classes also, in which students get their answers and their doubts are solved. Area of improvement - There should be proper labs of python lecture classes.

The life you should live in college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thorough and pertinent, in my opinion. I chose this course because it helps me understand real-world business situations by covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of commerce, such as accounting, economics, and business law. The subjects are helpful for both real-world employment and future studies like an MBA or CA. Although the course prepares us well, it could be enhanced by including more hands-on learning opportunities, internships, and professional guest lectures. To make lessons more interesting, teachers can employ more interactive techniques like group discussions and digital resources. Exams are scheduled appropriately, but occasionally the timetable feels constrained and leaves little time for review. The exam is at a moderate level and assesses more than just memorisation; it tests our comprehension of subjects.

The campus placement is fairly good with kpmg, Deloitte, Genpact, Accenture. The average package usually ranges from Rs 5-6 LPA while highest have gone to Rs 23 lakhs in recent years. The placements are bagged by proactive students usually with good communication skills and academic records.

A students insight on his college

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.

I applied for cuet to enter a regular college but unfortunately I didn't score well and didn't get any regular college which provide BMS as their course but in sol you do not have to apply to cuet you are selected on the basis of your 12th marks and I scored good in 12th so I got enrolled in dusol.
