College Review

I have chosen information technology we can switch to any side if we choose this branch. The curriculum prepares me very well in college for real world applications or further academic pursuits. The teaching methods need to be improved for 2nd year and 3rd year students. In 6 months there is an semester and in every 3 months there is a mid exams. In every year there are 2 semesters followed by 2 mids in each semester. The overall difficulty of an exam is very easy.

Goldman sachs in our college offered a role sde intern with 20k stipend and wipro also offered sde intern with 18k stipend. Interns will gain experience in companies by understanding about work and culture of office.

The placements in our college is very good. From 3rd year 2nd semester the placements and internships will starts. Companies like goldman sachs, wipro, adobe, etc.. will visit our campus. These companies made 25 offers in last year. The highest package in our college is 44lpa and lowest package was 5lpa and average package is 6lpa. Around 70% students were placed every year. My plans after getting degree is to get job in tech side.

The yearly fee for IT branch in KMIT is 102000. There is no increase or decrease in fees. SC,ST, and other backward caste students can avail scholarship amount. Am St candidate so i am paying nothing.For sc and st candidates there is no fees. You want to pay for hostel fees.The admission fees was around 10000. Lab fees is 8500,tuition fees is 102000.For scholarship candidates they need to pay 8500 for library and lab in first year it is applicable to 4 years. For other branches also tuition fee is almost same for csm it is 105000. Through epass u can get scholarship.

Overall experience with campus life is not so much good becuase college only focuses on studies. There are no proper events and fests. If any events and fests are held in campus it may have strict rules. Kmit evening is a fest conducted in every year end. There are events like patang utsav, Kmit evening and etc.. The facilities and technology provisions within classrooms are very good. Sports like football, basketball, volleyball held in campus. Students run social groups like nss, rotract club and etc.. It will impact on student life very well if we follow the social group rules in college.

The hostel facility is extremely good which is private hostel. The facilities provided in room are hot water, beds, fans, racks and etc.. The food is not so much good. The student must need to adjust at afternoon. The quality of food is average in any private hostel. I have rented pg hostel. Any student can get into private hostel if there is a vacancy in hostel.

I have chosen KMIT beacuse i got low rank. Compared to other colleges our college mostly focuses on studies and placements instead of cultural activities and social interactions. I couldnt choose any other colleges with computer science branch because i got low rank. I applied for cbit and jntuh but i didnt got these colleges. Because of low rank. I got nearly 25k rank in st category. The admission process in our college goes through eamcet,ecet and management quota. A general category student must want to secure 10k below rank to get seat in our college. Others can get 10k-20k rank as per 2025.

There are almost 4-5 faculty to each branch in our college. In a branch there are sections and in each section there are around 72 members students. I like bikshu sir a lot who says mathematics i think he is a best lecturer in college who teaches mathematics. He completed phD. In first year all subjects faculties are good. I dont like pps faculty because they dont teach concepts well. The relationship between students and faculty is quite good. In a year there are 2 semesters and 2 mids in each semester. The overall difficulty of paper is easy. Around 10 students in a class will fail to clear the exams. The course curriculum is very good and relavant.

The college is upto 5pm which starts at 9am. So there is no nightlife in college. There are good hangout spots in our college. In those my favourite one is canteen. After a day of classes students will gather in canteen and they do chit chat. These experience will be memoriable in my life. My campus timings is 9am to 5pm after that i will go to hostel. In outside college there is one park near back gate it is a best hangout spot for anyone. It is safe to roam around at night because there is a police station behind our college. The area is so peaceful.
