Helpful teachers and faculty in almost every department
The environment is very friendly and amiable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is strictly the one that is followed by the University of Calcutta. Therefore students don't usually face problem during the university exams. There are also often internal exams arranged.

Class Size: 10Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very minimum as it is a government aided college approximately a thousand rupees per month. There are state scholarships which can be availed through the college like the swami Vivekananda scholarship etc.

Campus Life

My overall college life was great. There were annual fests and picnics held. There was arrangements for involvement in sports for students interested in that field. Not only studies but also various cocurricular activities were done.

Admission

The college strictly admits students on the basis of their marks in class 12th boards. To study Commerce or honours in any science subject it is one of the most reputed colleges under the Calcutta University.

Faculty

The science departments have few seats and hence the teacher teaching in a class attends to each and every student personally. The commerce department is one of the best faculty having departments in the entire city of Kolkata.

Night Life

The college being just in North Calcutta, it holds the heritage of the city. And what can be better than having the famous serene Ganga ghat of Sobhabazar just at a walking distance from your college?

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though. The deciding factors for me were very low fees, decent quality teachers, and the most important, quality of crowd and reputation of the college.
