- Activities ,we have alot of clubs and organisations through which everyone can showcase their skills even if do not have any skill u can learn them by attending various workshop held by the respective majors.
- Secondly i liked about the fact that the campus being raggig free its provides a friendly welcoming to the freshers.
- Lastly its the infrastructure and the faculties together make it a hospitable one.
Dislikes
- Classes without small mid breaks like we have classes continuously on a stretch for 3 hrs only after that we get a our lunch break for 1 hour.
- Taking classes even on staurdays due to the prior leave
- Lack of involvement of individuals in different activities
Course Curriculum Overview
Btech is a four year course if you strive well you can get into good campus placements and under the revised 2024 scheme the last year we will be doing a 6 month internship which will increase our experience and also we'll get descent salary too

As i have mentioned before according to the 2024 revised curriculum we will have to do an internship for 6 months which will overall boost up our experience.through this revised system we will also be able to get stipend

Government Engineering College, Thrissur is one of the prestigious and renowned institution regulated by the government of Kerala. Its syllable is included under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, KTU since its a government institution the per year or annual fees is 19,300rupees which is only the academic fee apart from the academic fee we also have to pay an amount of 6550 rupees per semester. Admissions will be through the keam ranklist.If u have a top rank you'll get admitted to GECT.There are merit wise admissions plus the category wise admission thoose who belinging to sheduled caste scheduledtribe ews etc students who are elligible to different scholarships can apply to them our college provides different scholarships like the egrantz pragati chms mcm etc besides ftom the governmental scholarship schemes our college alumini also provide scholarship for elligible candidate which will be considering the annual income plus the keam rank of the student.We als provide hostel facilities for students whi far away reach on daily basis even if you dont get admitted to college hostel you can still find accommodations near by to college even im staying in one of the private hostels.We also have the best faculties available 24/7 each department have their own specified space to raise their voices up for their needs and deeds together with quality and quantity our college provides one of the best education to the students and guides them through their journey.By looking at our annual pass out each year it crystal clear that our college stands the best among other institutions
Campus Life
My overall experience is good since ididnt expect most of the things .you can have a peacefull yet colourfull campus life at gect through our annual meet Dhyuthi i was able to make alot of friends from other departments and also by joining to different clubs will also provide you a connection with seniorsetc
Hostel Facilities
Well you can get into college hostels its admissions provided based on the annual income and distance ina 30:70 ratio for the first years when it comes to 2nd years cgpa on tag along.there are different private hostels surrounding our college which you can refer to if you couldnt get to admitted to college hostels.each private hostels or pg will be having different rent and mess fees

I choosed this college due to its exemplary results in annual passout percentage and the campus placement. Admissions are through cee by means of your keam rank if you get a top rank you 'll be admitted here there are merit wise as well as category wise admissions taking place belonging to a backward classes the keam rank percentage can also go down
Faculty
Our college outstands the rest of the other by the per year pass outs of each semester even being a government institution it still manages to have a high percentage of passouts each year it is only possible bythe help of students and the faculties together there are faculties who are soo generous to their job and are passionate to make the stidents learn likewise there are yeachers who arr unbothered too
Night Life
Omg this is the main part you got a beautiful,calm ,eerie nightlife at campus during the normal days you can go in and around the campus take a walk with your friends. Its calmer during the usual days but if its arroynd any festival or any occasion there will be a lot of students at the campus preparing the college for the upcoming activity
