Likes

I like that there are a lot of clubs and things to do here
I like the seniors, they are very kind to us
People are very supportive here and provide a lot of oppurtunites

Dislikes

There are some teachers who are very entitled
The campus is very small compared to other campus
There are very few sports facilities available here

Course Curriculum Overview

I already loved the idea of studying mechanical engineering few years back even though i knew nothing about it, i think it was just a feeling. We have a new scheme right now so idk how the curriculum is going to shape us but i will hope for the best. One thing is we have a lot of portions to cover but very little time to cover it, so thats a problem

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year i have paid almost 1 lakh for management seat and my peers who have entered through merit has paid almost 70k. I am from general quota so for now i dont have any scholarship. I dont have any financial aid or anything like that too

Campus Life

There are many kinds of programs held here. I think one of the most important festival is "the cult away" conducted by our college. It is usually held in april or may. There are other celebrations as well. The classrooms are equipped with enough technology and it is nice.

Admission

At first i got admission in CEM but i wanted to get an admission here in SCT because i have heard that their mechanical department is the best, so i opted for this college. The admission process was smooth and there were not many problems for me.

Faculty

Most of the faculties are nice but there are some who are not that good personality wise and teaching wise, they cut our attendance for small reasons just because they can. Im not gonna say who i do or do not like. There are 2 series exam, some can be difficult some can be ok but generally if u study u can ace the exam.

Night Life

Students are not really allowed to hang out here at night but there are some special spots which are very nice to hang out with like the big tree in front of our college and there is walkway in neermankara which is very scenic and peaceful. Overall the place is very safe even at night

Positive remarks is the college is autonomous because we are directly under the Cochin University of Science and Technology. So the CUSAT name plays a big role in whole Kerala. The certificate has a big value. In case of negative remarks, some works are not doing properly, like small maintenance work and all.

A quick sneak peak to SCT College of Engineering

I acually applied for Emmanuel college vazhichal for the curse of biotechnology andbotany . I got the admission right away but the problem was with the distance. A closer look at the hidden gems of campus living

I totally applied only to three colleges. I choose this college because at that time it was in top 11 colleges in kerala. On the trial allotment itself i got merit seat in this college.This college was near to my home district. I didn't get rejected from other two colleges . To get admitted We have to clear keam exam conducted by the kerala government. To have a merit seat one must have comparatively good rank. Seats are also available in management quota and nri. Sree Chitra college of engineering - this is where i belong

This is the top 2 college in my district which is best for the placement and best interships. i also approached for college of engineering trivandrum which is the most best college in our state.these two are same for their curriculum and subjects which differs them is the interships and placements the cet offers a better placmenets than the sct .due to its his demand i didnt get admission in cet due to low rank as compared to sct.
