The annual fine is very much and you can't sit in exam before filing it.during student election time many students party fight with each other. Otherwise the college is best college in Chandigarh and you will surely love this place.
Course Curriculum Overview
DAV offers a wide variety of graduate and postgraduate courses in its campus. Along with the basic fields of study in arts science and commerce. it also has specialised skill based and research based courses like lab technician etc.
Internships Opportunities
No , our college does not provide internship as no professional courses are available in the college. So they only provide placement which also to limited extent. There is a unit of management studies mba which also provides only placement.
Placement Experience
There are placement option available in the college. There is a placement cell in the college which is working quite efficiently. Recently a online app is launched in which students can register themselves and for a placement drive. Many good companies Amazon , Infosys come for placement drive
College Events
May cultural , intercollege ,sports events are organised in the college. The cultural fest is organised annually and is called star night in which many famous personalities come and perform. Further youth fest is also organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is feasible and is according to university rules and regulations. The fees is not much high. My annual fees is around 23k except semester fees which is 3000.but is good compared to other colleges
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships are available for needy and meritorious students. addition to this if a student perform well at intercollege fest so he also get deduction on annual fees and ifa student perform exceptionally well at national level so his fees become only 500rs.
Campus Life
Many cultural club and educational society are present there in college. Which perform and organise various activities in the college. They are under the direct control of proffesors Sports facilities are best and this college has produced many international players. labs are also in very good condition. Lab assistant are also very helpful.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel and infrastructure facilities are good and I would rate them 8/10. Infrastructure is excellent and amazing environment is there. In hostel electronic gadgets are not allowed and last time to enter the hostel is 9 PM
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not so good but yes senior students do help a lot. As there is amazing crowd and environment in the college. One can get easy help from their seniors. They are very helpful. In starting of the session many freshers party are organised in which you can meet with your seniors
Exam Structure
The exam occur semester wise and before the main semester exam there are mid semester test in which you to min score 20% marks. Before you sit in main semester exam you have to clear all your dues. And you are not allowed to sit in exam if you don't clear your dues
Admission
The admission process at dav college sec - 10 Chandigarh depends upon the cut off percentage seeking admission to a desired field of study among any graduate and sees a tough competition every year. Admission is done on merit basis
Faculty
The faculty in college is very good and cooperative. And faculty is very experienced. Many workshop are organised by faculty itself to make the study more interesting. And after the class hours if one person wants to clear their doubts they can meet them in the staff or departmental rooms
