Remarks

I would say college is quite good for academics but it is not good if someone is looking for good job just after bcom. Yes the other campus colleges do provide amazing placements opportunities after bcom itself but not kalindi as it is non campus college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is quite good. It covers almost all the important subjects of the field. As I belonged to commerce, all sorts of accounting, economics and management were taught during the three period time. The only thing lag is the placement. The college do not provide good placements.

Internships Opportunities

The college DO NOT provide the internship. In case students get the internship through their own sources or references they can take the internship and get the college sanction on the letter later on. During my graduation we didn't get the opportunity of internship from the college. Placements too, we were asked to bring the companies to the college for the placements.

Placement Experience

1

The placements provided by the college are not attractive. The profiles provided are mostly if sales. I got placed in genpact , but they offered the night shifts. The salary too we're not impressive. My friends were placed with ICICI and other private banks as a relationship manager.

College Events

4

There are a number of events conducted in the college. 1. Orientation- the session begins with 2 days orientation. College has different committee such as dance society, nukkad natak, dramatics , commerce society etc. Departmental fest takes place for all the department. For commerce it was comquest. College students also go to other colleges of DU to compete in their departmental fest. The fests of Delhi University are quite famous due to the crowd and celebrity presence.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the only thing I suppose most of the students look at before coming to Delhi University as it is so so and so cheap in the entire country after JNU. At my duration the fees was hardly 8000 for the complete year. Though examination fee was to be paid separately during exam which was also under 1000/-. So be relaxed with the fee structure as you get quality education at the minimum fees structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no requirement of the scholarship since fees is so less. Though Delhi University being the central University provides concession to students belonging to different castes or below income or less income family. I did not take any sort of loan or such facility since I belonged to general category.

Campus Life

4

The extra curricular activities at kalindi aren't short of. All the types of activities are held be it dance, singing, sports, indoors and outdoors, debates, nukkad natak, also various rallies and donation camps are help in case of National calamities.

Hostel Facilities

1

College do not provide the hostel facility. People from outside Delhi stay in the private pg or hostels near by college area. There are pgs and hostel available in Patel nagar but are quite expensive. Most of the students search for the area near to college such as Karol bagh, Laxmi nagar etc. The transportation facility was quite cheap. Delhi University students can also go for the bus passes which costs 300 for 3 months.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful. Alumni network is not so wide as people do not much mention the college name instead they mention the University name. Though alumni meets are conducted every year. Seniors, alumnus, teachers everyone is helpful at kalindi college

Exam Structure

Exam structure is fine and common Semester wise exams are conducted by the University Internals are conducted by the college teachers themselves before the exams. Attendance also matters in securing good marks in the internals.

Admission

I got the admission into kalindi college via my 12th merit. The admission season starts in June by releasing the cut off after every 3rd day of the previous cut off. I got selected in the second cut off. Regarding the process if you get selected in the first cut off but couldn't take admission in that cut off and in the next cut off if you have even more than required percentage you ll not be selected for the college as you belonged to first cut off. So be careful.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is amazing. They are very supportive and also are always welcoming for the new and innovative ideas. There are permanent as well as guest teachers. The permanent faculty of the college is highly qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.
