Course curriculum according to branches gets updated every year according to need and new upcoming topics.electronics and communication gives you experience of both computer science branches and electrical branches with more of hardware projects which helps you improves u resume curriculum focuses on both hard and soft skills which makes it easier for u to analyze the real life problems with a lot of examples and problems not just theory.personally i like the curriculum of the college the way it is .there are quiz held in twice every month midsems once and then endsems with 2 quiz's which consists of 20 marks of internals .exams timing depends on the year which u are studying all mid sems 1.5 hour and endsem for 3 hours sometimes morning shift from 8 am or from 12 pm or 1 pm

Internship opportunity are available from 3 rd year oncampas. Companies come for internships. U should have good projects related to field u are applying in for getting your cv shortlisted . All roles are offered from cse branches to civil mechanical branches roles . But u can also go for off campus internship and start applying from your second year only.

Students of 4 year are eligible for placements and students of third year are eligible for internship.given they have more than 7 cgpa with no subject which is uncleared that is having active backlog .My plans is to get a pre placement offer through my first internship.Big companies like microsoft ,Tata ,wipro, boeing come to college .percentage of students getting placed increase every year .This year it was 60 percent.Roles offered and placement depend on your field of interest and which companies you are applying for .

Caution deposit is of 10000 which is refundable.forst year fees is common for all branches that is 3 lakh approx and for electronics and communication engineering it is 4 lakh from second year .total of 16 lakh without hostel and mess.if u get mit rank 1-10000 and family gross income less than 8 lakh then u get scholarship for first year.scholarship for girls studying in chemical ,automobile,civil branches also there .for branches other than ece like cps ,eni couse fee is 3.5 lakh for subsequent years .if you fail a subject u have to pay 12000 for clearing back

Annual fest revels happens once a year.manipal entrepreneurs submit (mes) happens where big companies founders come and guide the students. Even there are stalls setup by students for investors.revels is in march april after midsems and mes in February.there is utsav and other annual festivities as well . These are the charm of college life one must not miss. All the books u need are available in library which u can issue and reissue anytime u need .there is smartboards mics for recordings available in classroom for a student who missed the classcan rewatch the lectures anytime.sports competition and clubs are there for every sport . Events happens very frequently including inter mahe competition and inter college competition.there are over 20 student clubs and many big student projects including formula manipal,robo manipal,mars rover manipal and others which helps u learn real life skills and build real life projects .

There are new and old blocks . Newer blocks have better infrastructure like block 22,21 for girls and block 15 ,9 for boys . Hostel are too comfortable u wouldn't take a bit to settle in . Very comfortable hotel type rooms and lobbies including sofa and ac facility . Registration process for hostels starts after counselling and from second year u need minimum of 7.5 cgpa to get an ac room or any room. Hostels cost around 1 lakh to 2 lakh depending upon the type of room. Mess is 45 k per year . Mess is present near every block. If u want to move out of stay out there are many options like embassy, emerald, shambhavi , and other flats . Mess food is nice having a lot of options of both veg and non veg people.

I chose this college because of its academic reputation and the course which i was offered .i was also offered chemical in bitspilani but i had no interest in chemical branches.also other colleges i applied took a long time for to release results and were conducting mutiple rounds even after i joined this college .and I submitted the fees for manipal .rejection from some a tier colleges came soon after jee results were out i was self aware that this rank i would not be offered with a good college .mit counducts two rounds of paper once before your Boards and other after boards best of two scores will be considered for councelling.eligibility is above 75 percent in maths and physics chemistry manipal only accepts admission through met manipal entrance test.cuttofs for these exams differ every year .overall experience was 8/10

For every 5 students a mentor is alloted with whome u can talk and share problem related to academics and others .exams are not difficult to pass if u study from start it will be a little to score good if u study in last 10 days but still u can pass .passing marks are 40 out 100 including mid sems and internals .even if u fail u can give retest exam called makeup exam paying 600 per subject and still if u dont pass u can apply for subject repetition paying 12 k per subject and repeat the subject next semester same for the labs it is 6k per lab u can either attend summer lab or winter lab .making system is relative so if the paper is difficult the cuttof for that particular subject will be less making it easier for u to pass .faculties such as vipin valsan faculty of basic electronics is best professor ive had in first year he binds the class and teaches so well u study in the class and to can get a plus easily .bhaskhar awadhiya for analog electrical circuits in second year best professor teaches very well and have a good hold of the subject.

Manipal is known for its college life . It has the best college life . Classes end by 4:30 pm and then u have whole day to spend outside and enjoy.gate end time for first years is 10 and second year is 11 pm . hostel end is 10:30 for first year and 11:30 pm for second year onwards. Beach is 15 min from campas. Arbi falls is 5 min . There are manu treks . Clubs for partying is the charm of manipal . Locality is quiete the safest place specially for girls . U can easily access autos and bus with no fear . Cafe and restaurant are at great promixity too. Even the cinemas are just 500 m from campas . Mall for shopping and street food is nice . Night life of college is best in manipal.
