Likes
- So, my college is an all girls college which makes it a safe heaven for girls . Also my college is located in civil lines which is one of the cleanest and safest areas in Delhi.
- My college provides ample courses from which a kid could choose from. There are various courses which are uniquely provided by my college .
- Also the college hostel are an excellent place to stay .
Dislikes
- One of the cons of IPCW is that there aren't any plethora of events which benifits the students in any way. The events which are organised are quite boring and mostly are seminars with some professionals like doctors and professors
- The timings of college aren't suitable at all. The college starts at 8 and ends around 5:20 which makes it quite hectic for students.
- Also the placements provided by the college aren't appreciable.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course Political Science is a quite comprehensive course exploring various facets of political science from domestic to international arena, state to nation as well as critically analysing the ideologies and theories given by various thinkers. It's a course which perfectly balanced the theoretical component and at the same time connects it with the practical usage thus developing critical thinking skills in the students
Internships Opportunities
The college encourages students to participate in various internship opportunities. The official groups of the college are always flooded with ample of internship opportunities from which the students can apply for.
Placement Experience
The college doesn't promote on campus placements on a wider scale but ya recruiters do come for some of the courses like economics hons, bcom hons but the fact that the one campus placements aren't appreciable at all due to the low ctc provided hence most of the students don't participate in these placement events.
Fees and Financial Aid
So, the fees for different courses vary in my college like for my course that's Political Science Honours it's was 30000 per year but for course like BA MMMC it's around 1 lakh .Also talking about the feeling concessions available, yes my college does provide fee concessions to people belonging to EWS category for that they need to fill the financial assistance form circulated by Delhi University each year.
Campus Life
Overall the campus is quite vibrant there are various open spaces where you can sit and relax also there are a lot of clubs to explore your hobbies like ncc, nss, enactus, debate society, western music society, indian classical music society, dance society (western as well as indian).
Hostel Facilities
So the hostel room is to be shared among 2 residents the things provided to you in your room are a godrej almirah , a common rack,study table and chair, bed and 2 study lamps , also there are 2 types of rooms ac and non AC .The food provided is decent and the menu is quite diverse.
Admission
I got IPCW alloted in the first round of admissions I chose to finalise it due to various reasons . Firstly it comes in the north campus and as popularly known north campus provides various opportunities for students to develop their horizons and think above the academics , secondly I got my preferred course and thirdly I got hostel.
Faculty
The faculty at my college is highly educated and holds command over their subject .The course structure includes division of a year into 2 semesters also marking scheme is 90 marks theory and 40 marks practical.
Interview Experience
No, I didnt face any interview for admission all the admission procedure was based on my cuet score and all the other processes were online where the delhi University managed the subject and college allotment
Night Life
So the campus closes at 8pm after that hostel residents are only allowed to leave to recieve their online orders or if they've got a late night approved . Also the campus has got gym, cafe(Amul and nescafe) and canteen facilities.
