Likes
- The quality of students here are good, afterall the top 5% in jee, atleast COMP/IT.
- The coding culture is pretty great here, considering the rank we got.
- The senior to junior interaction is pretty decent.
Dislikes
- The culture is AIT, where you gotta wear formals for 2 3 months, and there is an hostel intime varying from 8pm to 11.30 pm depending upon how the situation is in the college.
- The academic block here imposes fine for literally anything, reasonable or not.
- The college's infrastructure is below average, there aren't enough hostels to accomodate every single student here thus some students have to leave hostels and become day scholar(on the basis of cgpa)
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is relevant for engineering but as far as placements are concerned for circuital branches, it doesn't mean much. There occur mid sem and end sem here. Both are considered in determining the sgpa.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship opportunities here indeed, exams and hackathon are done for us in order to get internships. Paid internships are decent here, students get internships from 2nd year on, some do in first year too.
Placement Experience
Placements are provided by the placement cell here. Placement for COMP IT branches are above 13 14lakh. And for college it is 12lakh. Median is around 10 lakh. Highest package is 1.15cr, provided by Barclays but offcampus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the entire first year starting from 2024, is 364500rs , there is no reservation in fees as such. 1.5lakh is about academic fees and 1lakh fees is all about hostel, rest fees is for mess, laundary, uniform, wifi and other things.
Campus Life
Campus life is just so and so. Socially people here are quite upto themselves and boring in general but yeah, there ate clubs and all in college. Events are there but on small scales. Sports and such facilities are indeed there.
Hostel Facilities
There aren't much hostels here, people have to get out of hostels. Only FY are given 100% accomodation, but further year students have to become day scholar. Infrastructure for accomodation is very poor. Mess food is average or below average sometimes just like any other college mess.
Admission
I chose this college because of the rank I got in jee. I should have chosen sgsits indore. Fees here is pretty high compare to other college. Admission is done by applying here separately. And merit list is made out of registered candidates. And get branches as per ranks.
Faculty
Faculties are pretty good here. Some are strict some are lenient. But still decent enough. College was affiliated to SPPU(pune university) thus we followed the same. But from this year on college is going to get autonomous. Thus exams and everything will go by AIT itself. Till now, it's pretty easy to score high marks here.
Night Life
There is no night life here. There are gym, open area cafeteria , and food court, with juice and ice cream shops. College life is pretty average. Hostel intime is 9pm, and college intime is 9pm too. Library is opened till 12am.
