Likes

The Campus is Environment friendly, they have planted trees around their campus and also within the campus too, also they do watering it everyday, so this is one of the things I liked.
The faculties are very much helpful , also the knowledge they demonstrate is very much helpful, not only they teach us well but also guides us very good.
Also the labs and classroom are modern , like having projectors and smartboards and even centralized AC's in labs too.

Dislikes

Some of the Projectors need to be upgraded like they wont even start sometimes
Also the Benches in classroom also need to fix, some of them are totally worn out
Even in labs 1 or 2 PC's don't work, i recommend them to check it

Course Curriculum Overview

the course is fairly relevant and covers the fundamentals required in the Field of CSEDS . the curriculum helps students build basic knowledge that can support both industry career and higher studies. the exam structure generally includes internal assessments, assignments and end sem examinations, the frequency is manageable.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees I pay is Around Rs1,25,000 - 1,27,000/- . This fees Count for all like tuiton fee, Library fee, Lab fees and all. And as for Batchmates some of them pay full fees 1,25,000 or some even pay in between 5,000 - 18,000 because they belongs to some caste based category. Also Scholarships like MahaDBT they provide so some of the fees get refund by the college management.

Campus Life

the overall campus life offers a balanced mix of academics and extracurricular activities. annual cultural and technical festivals are usually organized during the second half of the year . the library provides access to good collection of academic books and journals for different courses.

Admission

I chosed this college mainly due to its accessible admission process, course availability and reasonable fee structure compared to other options. Applications were also considered for a few other engineering colleges in the region, but this college offered a suitable computer science specilization and convenient location. admission was based on the MHT-CET eligibility criteria followed by the centralizefd CAP process conducted by the state.

Faculty

The faculty to Student relationship is very much good, they teach us very nicely and in proper manner. All the faculties are very much helpful in some ways or the other ways. As per the exams , total of 2 IA they conduct and that exams are also very very much decent or sometimes even challenging, marks System is 20 marks for IA test and as for final Exam it is 80 marks covering all the modules. The student passing ratio is very much decent , like almost all the students gets pass like 150 out of 180 students gets passed, also the course is very relevant to industry level.

Night Life

if we talk about Gym section it is still under development but they provide us other games like carrom, table tennis , badminton, chess and football to play around. and as for the Cafeteria its good , decent and have good much area but sometimes its get very much crowded by students. and the locality is near to station so yes its safe , like its open to all places , accessible to nearby station and nearby bus stop too

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

Placement Experience:

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

Should I go for VCET ??!!

I stay in goregaon and for me travelling in the reverse direction is easier than travelling to other colleges. The timing of the trains and the crowd is also pretty managable. I did apply for various college. KJ Somaiya and Xaviers are the college were I was accepted but according to my comfort I chose this college. As the Fees is also reasonable and the traveling time is also saved, So for me it was a the comfort zone I'd say. And other college I was rejected due to the score was not compitent as they needed it. It takes admission on the basis of CET JEE so the admission process is almost online they do have their institute round on their website for which the result is also given on the website itself....Read More

Admission process is smooth at the college. The management is very clear with all the instructions. Eligibility exams are MHTCET and JEE mains and also diploma in related field.
