Course Curriculum Overview

2

FE course subjects are not very programme oriented. Everybody is supposed to learn everything. based on basic knowledge of all engineering. neither much computer based nor muscle based. the curriculum could be adjusted to be ,more helpful for landing a job.

Internships Opportunities

3

there are various internship programmes offered by the college in collaboration with various companies. students learn to solve real life problems while working with a company which helps develop their skills. at the end of the programme a certificate is given which helps build the CV.

Placement Experience

2

students of BE are eligible for campus placemnts. every company has its own criteria. companies like godrej, infotech, capgemini, tech mahindra have visted the campus for placement. the average packege is 6lpa and the highest ever offered is around 12-15lpa. around 60-80% students get placement. i am pursuing this degree for my civil services.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee structure is 1,29,000/- for general/open category. for sc/st the fee may drop down upto 5,602/-per year(only if all documents are clear). for ebc, ews, obc, sebc the fee structure is approx 72,000/-per year. the extra expense other than fees is also very much. lab manuals and assignments sheets and stationary need to be purchased time to time from college stationary.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of the college is held in the month of January every year. it is a 3 day event with various activities for studentsand various performances. the most awaited segment is the war of dj's. the other sports festival is held around the same time. it is a week long event where the students participate and compete against each other in various sports. it involves bot indoor and outdoor team and individual sports.

Admission

The main pluc point of VCET is that is is very much close to the railway station and lies on the opposite end of mumbai, therfore no mumbai local crowd. process of admission is through mht-cet. minimum criteria is 85%ile. i personally always had this college in mind since it is close to my home.

Faculty

3

A pretty well-balanced faculty-to-student ratio. faculties are very friendly and frank with students except some. faculties are easily approachable at any times. any doubt can be cleared during any hour of the day. responsive over WhatsApp as well. favorite faculties list has Ms. Praiza Falcao (maths), Ms. Prachee Shah (C programming), Ms. Priti vairagi (Mrachanics, Dr. suraj vishwakarma (Physics). no doubt is left after their teaching and if left any they are always ready to help. on the bitter side, i might name Dr. Vivek Singh (Physics), too much strict unnecessarily.

Night Life

3

The college gymkhana is open for few hours every day for students to play and refresh their minds. students can visit here during the mentioned hours of the day. the canteen can only be used for hanging out with friends during free lectures. the food here is not at all worth it. would not recommend even trying it. the college is open till 6pm and the library is open till 8pm. there is no hostel facility for students. students rent a room or pg.
