Remarks

The best part of the university is that it is a open university so students can study while doing their jobs. The negative thing about university is that it has a some complicated rules in which most of the students get troubled. So for that watch videos before taking admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It's good. Means IGNOU gives you chance to select subjects of your own choice which make our way much easy. But some students got confused in it. So for that you have to read the COMMON PROSPECTUS of IGNOU. It is course guidance for students and helps a lot in understanding course curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does provide internships. I am currently in 2nd year so I didn't face one. But the internships are not that great. Internships provided by regular universities are better than that one. So in terms of internship IGNOU is not that good.

Placement Experience

1

Yes it IGNOU started placement for their students from past 1year but like internship they are not that great. You can easily find jobs like, that are provided by IGNOU. After all it is a distance learning university.

College Events

0.5

It is a open university so there very least events that are celebrated here. Convention is the only that happens every year. But students can attend fest of their study centre by the proof of their identity card and enjoy it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. Which is the one of the reason why every year lots of students took admission in the university. For example For Bsc Hons it's 13,500 which is 4,500 per annum(very feasible).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes IGNOU provides scholarships but not for every one. They are only for SC, st , OBC and for only girls child. In which 50% of seats are for girls. There is no fix date or time for applying for scholarships you can apply throughout the year.

Campus Life

4

Again, it is a open university. So there is no extracurricular activities , sports etc here. For LAB lab sessions are done by different study centres. You have to registration on your regional centre before attending lab classes.

Hostel Facilities

2

As it provides you distance learning so students don't need to live in a hostels. Talking about infrastructure is very good all. The main college , regional centres , and any other official of the university are constructed very well.

Alumni/Alumna

Ya some how senior students are quite helpful on how to select subject, how to prepare for exams and how to prepare projects ,etc. They give you proper guidance. So every student must have contact of any senior one.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very good here. Students can select exam centres according to their convinent. You can give exam twice a year either in June or in December. You have to fill the exam form before 2 months of exam period.

Admission

The admission procedure is very simple. Everything is online. So you just have to fill up your form online and pay your fees. Sometimes students got some doubts regarding selecting there subjects ( IGNOU gives you freedom of choosing subject) and selecting there regional centre , for that you can watch videos on YouTube.

Faculty

2.5

It's depends. Like some of the regional centre and study centres have very good faculty members and some of them have lazy one also. Of course IGNOU is a huge university so every can't be good or can't be bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
