Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum prepares students for real world applications such as providing internships and taking students for infustrial visits thats helps them to see how the jobs are being done. The exams sometimes have no gaps for eg there might be 2 consecutive exams in 2 days which might be hard for some students to study.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are several oppurtunities in our college, internships are mandatory for second year students. The students get to learn from these internships and it helps in their devolopment. Being a first year student i dont have much idea.

Placement Experience

4

Students get campus placements from 5th semester. Highest package provided is 8 LPA where as the lowest package is 2 LPA. 60% students get placements. I want to pursue a professional course and get a job

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1 year I paid rs 170000 Application fee was rs 900 Beinf an NRI student my fees were: additional fee rs 35000 eligiblity fee rs 5500 Non students had tp pay lesser fees compared to foreign and nri students

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of events that happens in the college. Events happen almost every week in the college the latest event was Adroit 2025. There are 3 libraries in the college. There are also a lot of clubs that the students can join as per their interest.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel dosent have 24*7 hot water facility. The hostel menu dosent taste that great. Hostel fees is very high compared to other hostels\PG. The hostel ambience is peaceful. The registration process is simple and students will have to pay a caution deposit of rs15000.

Admission

I had applied in SJU but i chose KJC because of the ample amount of oppurtunities they offer to students. The admission process of the college is a bit hard as applicants must go through interveiws and tests. the college also takes the eligiblity criteria seriously ad only high scoring students get a chance to get in to this college.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are friendly and approchable also they maintain a good realtionship with students. The commerce faculty is one of the best faculty as they have events almost everyday and there are many students who compete in these fun and educational events. The exams depends on how much the students have studied, usually the exams arent much difficukt in the first year.

Night Life

5

There is one college gym and there are around 11 cafeterias in the campus outside the campus there is not much public areas as this area is a bit undeveloped compared to other parts of banglore. The hostel curfew for boys is 9 pm whereas for girls is 8 pm. At night the locality is pretty much safe.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
