Course Curriculum Overview

4

I liked the curriculum very much to be honest, we had around 6 classes daily starting 8am in the morning till 3pm, the subjects which I took is of electronics and communication our faculty explains them well where they always took real time examples when they teach us. Obviously the teaching methods of some teachers should be changed as they will just dictate what they know. For every 2 months we would have a mid term and we would have 3 tests in between which will be considered for internal marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 3lakhs yearly where 225000 is for the college and 75000 is for the hostel. Caution fees is of 10000, lab fee management fee comes under the college fee only, there is scholarship as well if we get a good rank in the exam conducted by Amrita to get admission. The scholarship would vary according to the rank and we can avail upto 90% os scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure is very good, we would have a freshers party and we would have aarohan for science fest, and we would have celebrations for every festival. The library is very well accessible to everyone, almost every book which is related to your studies according to your course will be available there. The facilities are very good in the classrooms as well they were had a projector which we can use for better understanding through some videos or PPTs. We had a wide range of extracurricular activities also as they used to conduct tournaments for handball, cricket, football etc., and for dance as well we have a seperate clubs for each one of them and clubs play a very major role in every student's life as it gets to know what you are exactly looking for.

Hostel Facilities

4

Coming to the hostel facility, for the people who live in hostel we only had 2 outings for a month and everyday we can go out for an hour in the evening and Saturday and Saturday we can go out both morning and evening. We had a fan, two lockers and two double cot beds in every room as the room is for four people. The quality of the food is good but it can improve. While we do the admission process of we want hostel we can do the process there itself.

Admission

I felt I can achieve something in Amrita because I heard a lot good things about the way the professors teach and how they encourage us to choose different clubs like dance, sports, environment etc., so we can excel in whatever aspect we are good for, there is no compromising if you want to study some course also as the professors guide us and we can do our projects in forehand under any professor. The admission process of my college is they will conduct an exam in which you have score very good to accept your admission, there will be a cutoff for the marks as well based on the state you studied as they will give some advantage of you have studied in the same state where the college is there. I got accepted to another colleges as well namely VIT, SRM, Sathyabhama etc., but for me I thought Amrita would be helpful for me to grow my career opportunities than the other colleges.

Faculty

4

We have around 1 professor for every 50-100 students, the exam process is like we had two mid terms where those marks are to be considered as internal marks for 50 and we had a final semester exam which is of 100 marks and they will cut it off to 50. For labs we have 2 lab exams and a viva.

Night Life

4

We have gym with almost full equipment, I used to go to the gym at evening times. We have two cafeterias one is inside the campus and the other one is at the hostel. We have a very beautiful infrastructure as we used to roam along the campus at evenings. The campus would be close by 8pm. We used to hangout at the ATM area, at Saraswati statue, and 3rd floor in the new white building. The locality is very safe to roam around at night times.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 4th year as placement training occurs in 3rd year(6th semester). There are multiple companies like Infosys, Oracle, ABC, HP, Adobe and many other companies that visit our college for placements. The highest package was 56 LPA and the placement percentage is about 80 to 95% so there is a strong chance of placement in RNSIT.

Placements in our college are pretty good with the average package being around 10 lakhs. Our college provides comprehensive training to prepare us for placments by conducting training over 2 months for both technical rounds as well as non-technical aptitude rounds. Mock interviews are conducted in order to prepare us for the real interviews.

Placement Experience:

Regarding placements , students are eligible from third sem for IT branches and 6th sem for non IT branches based on how they develop their skills. There is also a memorandum of understanding or m o u with different companies by our college which encourages internships but basically we have to skill up ourselves which the IT branch students can easily do . Core branch students are eligible from 6th semester as their skills are not developed because there the subjects are more and the concept building wouldn't have happened till 6th sem. Hence we are eligible from 6th semester. This time the placements are really good core branches have got the highest placements in triple e that is electrical and electronics engineering out of 90 students 86 students have been placed which is setting a record in the college placement history for IT branches though the packages not as much as 40 LPA, a package would range from 3 to 15 lpa by companies like thought works Infosys LTTS etc. I have my future plan is to get placed in a good company work there for few years to gain professional experience and do my masters.

Placements of our college was an average because our college is located in rural area and companies were not ready to come to that rural place but our placement officer used to try very hard in order to help students and get placed in well company. During the last year i.e, 7th semester palcements used to come and depending on our eligibilty we attented the interviews. My plans after the degree completion was to do software courses and join in software company because i did electrical and eletronics engineering.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNSIT are decent and consistent, especially for CS-related branches. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts training programs including aptitude tests, coding practice, mock interviews, and soft skills sessions to prepare students. Many reputed companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and some product-based companies visit the campus. The highest package in recent years has gone above 20 LPA (mostly for CS/IT related roles), while the average package ranges between 4–6 LPA depending on the branch. Most offers are for roles like Software Developer, System Engineer, Analyst, and Associate Engineer.
