My experience at Gauhati commerce college

Gauhati commerce college course curriculum has mixed reviews : some felt that the syllabus are outdated : some finds the curriculum aligns well with the evolving business The curriculum is noted for its theoretical depths but some students lacks the concert about the lot of practical skills and trainings and the curriculum is defined as rigid offer no or very limited flexibility for students to explore diverse interest A lot of improvement is needed by the college to prepares the students for the real world not the bookish world they should give more weightage to practical rather than the theory part And the placement should also be added So that it will help the students

As I know no companies come for placements or internship the students have to do the internship by their own. The internship are to be done at the four semester The projects are given by our college teacher for internal marks.

Total fee for 1st year is 12000 They will take in 5,560 at the time admission in 1st sem Then practical and exam fees during exam time 1220 Then during 2nd sem admission 2000 And then at final exam time 1220 And relaxation ar given to few students because of their income certificate

In Gauhati commerce college various Events and programs are held In start of the college the first function i attended is the freshers party which is given by the seniors and everytime some artist of Assam came to our college And college foundation day is also happened in which the governor of Assam has arrived. And then in February the college week is started in which for 1 week many Cool activities are held like sports cricket football volleyball badminton dance competition singing rangoli competition mahendi and may more And in the last day the closing ceremony is done in which everyone enjoys

I don't apply to many colleges I just applied in some of the government colleges OF guwahati only and I got the confirm admission from dispur College and kc das commerce college also. But I choose this college instead of others because as compared to other here infrastructure is good and college environment is also nice. I don't apply for other colleges because that college infrastructure is very poor and in admission process is very length For getting admission in Gauhati commerce college The eligibility is you have to pass the 12th exam from any board And you have to apply for samrth portal in this college and if your names comesin the merit list you will get admission for that you have to go to the campus with all your necessary documents There is no entrance exam needed for getting admission here Bcom is one of the most preferred course choosen by the students

Gauhati commerce college affiliated with gauhati university. There are various faculties but to be very honest they doesn't care about the students that much they just came and teach and then and then symply go they didn't build any kind of relation with students The only faculty I like is accountancy one In 1 semester there are two exams a) sessional examination by the college itself b) final examination which is held by the university

There is one gym in our college it's average not so good equipments. In our college there is one canteen but personally I don't like their foods and the space is also less. There is only boys hotel in our college which is just beside the college Some good spots are The momos stall And the golgappa stall just outside are college gate
