GCC Guwahati Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

The course is too good as it also not about the course but a lot of opportunities other than the course like politics sports. Also the technology used in teaching is good but it can be made better. Frequency is flexible with two months gap per semester.

My course is very comprehensive and good for general course degree for those who aims to get an overall knowledge of commerce, but it's not really relevant to real world situations and for further career opportunities

In our college like most of the students are doing some extra professional courses for which we students need time for study and the college gives us the time for studying those subjects or exams that's the most influential thing for which i have taken this college. The exams frequency is the best no need for any improvement.

B.Com does help you preparing yourself for the future and shaping your entrepreneurial mind. At the same time opting for the extracurriculars provided by the college helps you in gaining knowledge and facing the real life problems with much ease.

My course is b.com Subject are:- indian financial system, business mathmatics, Information technology in business, environmental studies, business organisation and management, Financial accounting, one skill subject

The syllabus is not too lengthy and is completed in time . The curriculum i must say is average. Few practical classes or presentations could have included for better understanding of the lessons. Exams were held timely and exams were a bit difficult.

I honestly chose this course because I am interested in business related matters. I am looking forward to do a business in the coming days . I would be satisfied and glad if our teachers teach in English and gives more preference because some of the students just come to class and they don't understand anything whatever is being taught .

The course is good according to me, it contains various subjects which I suppose makes the base for higher studies. If one adds internships and all , the student becomes very much capable of being employed.
