Studying in this college was one of my best experience and this college shows me the Real and live situation of dealing in the Market.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam no personal interview it was on merit basis. As my birthplace is Guwahati and in this city this was a good college so i have taken admission in this college.

I Have Opted to do B.com as i was not sure what to do but yes i have done Commerce so i opted to do this this is all about marketing and research and case study.

Internships Opportunities

No college does not provide any internship anyways i have applied for internship through internshala and work from home in digital marketing.

Placement Experience

Placements were done and there were 50 percent students who were placed major companies Which were new startup and starts paying 2 Lac.

College Events

Cultural fest were held in college where i have participated in that and showed my performance. We also celebrate Teachers Day, 2 October, Saraswati Pooja in our college where college students are present.

Fees was very high it was 15000 for one semester which is not affordable by all.

Yes Scholarship is given by the college to those who score good marks more that 80%. College gave discount in fees.

Yes, Cricket tournament was held and i have played in that team. yes we get ample opportunities to explore our inner talent. In a week we had 6 Game Schedule daily of 1 hr.

No i was living in my house as there were no hostel in that college not even PGs were provided.

It was good with Alumni and they were also supportive and caring. Yes alumni contribute in the overall development of the college as well as the students.

No it was a cool place but yes exams were in little fear that one might get a good mark. there was a mid test which carries marks.

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

The environment is good peace' and calm .
The campus is good clean and good faculties
Reputed name , the courses are good overall feels good to be a part of this college

Dislikes

People's are arogants, egoistic , do nepotism.
Attendance matters then knowledge, if a student have less attendance in one subject also they don't provide them to give exam.
Lengthy course and less classes the professor completed the syllabus in just 2 months, they say the semester have 6 months but we are giving the finals in 3rd month!

I will rate it 7 cause lengthy course less classes, Exam timing are vast others colleges held there exam on the last month of the year but our college held there exam on the 3rd month of the semester overall not good
