National Institute of Design (NID), Assam, also known as NID Jorhat, is a government autonomous Institution established in 2019 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Assam Admission
Admission to NID Assam is based on the score obtained by the candidates in the NID Design Aptitude Test, popularly known as NID DAT. NID DAT consists of two stages, namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for NID Assam Admission will first have to appear for NID DAT Prelims. Based on the merit of the students in NID DAT Prelims, they will be shortlisted for NID DAT Mains. The final admission will be based on the total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidates in NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains.
Candidates will have to appear for NID DAT Counselling for the allocation of seats for admission to NID Assam. The allocation will be strictly based on the merit list, the category of the candidates, and the seats offered by the institute.
