I like biotechnology so I chooosed this course as I love genes and genetics The curriculum prepares us adequate enough to work in real world The frequency of exam is high and the difficulty is also a bit hard

Campus Life

There are lot of annual and technical festivals in our college and cult away our main fest is famous all over kerala There are lot of book and journals available along with computers There is sports day and there are specialized teams for basketball football and many others sports that represent us and play for us

Admission

This college is one of the best in trivandrum city No I mainly applied to this college and I got in due to my keam score The admission to this college is done by writing the keam test and cut off is based on the number of people writing and their respective rank

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is 2 to 10 The faculties are very approachable and kind I personally like baji sir and rohini teacher in biotech department as they are very helpful In each sem there are 3 exams, 2 series and 1 sem exam

Night Life

My main hangout space is gym which is just outside the college The campus closes at 6 pm and for hostels they differ based on the hostel and pg They are many hang out places in trivandrum and locally it is safe around night

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

An honest college review

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
