The big campus is the thing i liked the most
Many eateries inside the campus which serves food uptill 4 in the night
The oat that hosts so many different functions

Sometimes the bathroom services are not good as there is a problem of water
Mess food gets boring after some time due to repetitio

Course Curriculum Overview

Course cirriculum is different for different branches. Some bramches are hectic as they have labs and lectures everyday whereas sone branches only have lectures but more or less the difficulty of courses are not very much different

Internships Opportunities

After the summer holidays of fourth year you sir for the internship drive that take place from 1st of august for ohase and continues till december. Various comoanies of different domains comes here to hire students for intern

Placement Experience

Placements here at IIT KANPUR are improving year by year and try to place as many students as possible . With a large team of students and professors that work day and night to invite companies for campus recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fees is approximately 1,00,000 in which your hostel and academic fees is included. Your mess and electricity charges are not included in this . If your parental annual invome is less than 5 lakh per annum then you will get a 2/3 fee waiver on your academic fees. Several scholarships such mcm,mess fees,inspire are introduced for students.

Campus Life

Whichevere hobby you have ,either IIT kanpur would have a club or society for it and if its something new that no one earlier has thought of then you can also propose to the student gymkhana to open a new club for your interest.

Hostel Facilities

In first year boys are allotted hall 13 and girls are allotted hall 4 . In hall 13 there are tripple sharing and double sharing rooms but i. Hall 4 thwre arw only double sharing rooms. Hall are big and have proper ventilation . Regular cleaning of rooms and corridoors take place everyday. Clean drinking water comes 24 hours.

Hostel Fee: INR 27000 per year

Admission

Due to my rank i got iit kanpur but i do not regret my decision of taking it as i got very good friends and such a good campus to live in for 4 years where there are numerous opportunites for me to grow

Faculty

Iit kanpur has a highly qualified faculty members who have done phd from very prestigious institutions. They are very much sincere towards the academic cirriculum and always work for the betterment of campus students and country

Night Life

The nightlife here is very good. You have no restrictions to roam around in the campus. You can eat whatever tou wanna eat at night and chill out with your friends at oat . The real life in IIT is the night life that stays in your mind for life long.

Placement Experience:

The placement for this college is average the student is get to placed for around 6 lakh per annum in the highest package goes for around 3600000 per annum the highest placed branches chemical engineering Students get eligible for placement from around 5th semester of the course. Companies like Wipro TCS gallant extra profit jobs to the students. Placement percentage goes around 70% however in lower branches such as food technology paint technology etc placement can go up to 100% also. My plans are to go for off campus placements in MNC such as Google Microsoft etc

HBTU- A prestigious college

Placement Experience:

the students become elegible for placements by the final year but the internships start by the 3rd year mainly. The placements offered this year were 59 out of which 51 were placed. the total placement percentage was 62.4 for CSE branch. The highest placement percentage was in chemical branch with also the highest package. The average package of CSE branch was around 5 to 8 lakh and the highest was around 14 lakh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have an interest in the computer field and I always enjoy new technology that's why I choose B.tech in computer science. There is good faculty having a supporting nature with students. In a class, 40 students were present at that time. The college has a qualified and experienced faculty and teaching methods were simple. college organize internal exams timely.it was not too difficult for getting passing marks.

IITK From Sparsh's Perspective

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. The cut-off for IITK varies-from branch to branch. For example the CSE of IITk open from Jee advanced general rank of 115 to 250....Read More

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
