Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is basically very simple who follows it day by day. the reason I choosed this course is the curriculum is according to our job opportunities and also it lacks many things that are required by a student to have a job or for going to higher studies. The curriculum followed by our college is basically the oldest version that is our technology has improved so so far by our curriculum hasn't changed according to it. As we are a computer science students the curriculum should be improved according to the basic needs of the technologies.

Placement Experience

3

The placements about our college is quite okay. We have many companies that is hiring students from our campus but the main problem is many companies are giving only low packages. If the students are eligible for higher packages also they are not getting enough salary according to their talents. The percentage of students getting placed is more in computer science batch which means that other batches like electronics and communication, mechanical, automobile are not getting placements. 95% of the placements is for cs and aiml students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees the year we join that is 2023 is 58000 for merit seat, for management seat it is nearly 82000 and for sc and st category students nearly 1500.The fees that is 58000 for a merit students includes all the feeses like exam registration fees, cultural fest fees, maintenance fee, management fee, tution fees, special fees, ktu fees, pta subscription. Also I don't have any scholarships available but my classmates are getting many scholarship like if the parents are retired army officers or anything like that. The merit of our college fees is we doesn't want to pay the fees alternatively like during exam or during cultural fest which means that we have paid it at the beginning of each year. The college fees of second year has decreased to 52000 for merit students and increase to 89000 for management students but for Sc,st categories it remains same.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience of the campus is good. We can interact with every student and can improve our communication skill and also can have a good friendship with everyone. Our college provide many programs like cultural fest, arts fest , sports, technical fest and many more. The arts ,sports , technical fest are conducted in the second semester of each year and cultural fest and technical fest conducted at the end of second semester of each year. The classroom facilities are good the main problem is we doesn't have good fan or anything like that the cooling system is very bad.

Admission

I have choosed this college because the college has placement opportunities available each year and the way of teaching is also very nice. The teachers are so interactive with the students. I have applied to many colleges like CET Trivandrum, government engineering college Thrissur, model engineering college and many more. the fact is that I couldn't make upto this colleges because I want to get admission in an medical college not engineering college so iam preparing for neet not keam or any other exams. The admission process of the college is basically according to the results of the keam exam. If we get a good rank that is below 5000 then we get admission in this college. The admission process was not so complicated it was so simple and has done fast. The cut off of keam entrance exam is we need get a minimum mark of 25 in each subject.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of our college are good.the way of teaching of many teachers are very understanding and the students gets the best education from our campus. The faculty members teach according to the syllabus and the needs of the students. The exam are conducted as per the university calendar. Mainly we have two internal exams which are conducted by college and a semester exam at the end of each semester which is conducted by the university. Also we have internal lab exams which is conducted by college and external lab exams which is conducted by university. The internal exams are basically according syllabus mentioned by corresponding university and which is basically easy and is conducted according to our university exam pattern. The students who fails in university exams gets a chance to write it during each semester exam after it. The students who fails in internal exams there is no retest and basically the internal marks will be less. The students who doesn't attend any of the internal exams due to specific reason then retest will be available.

Night Life

3

Mainly we doesn't have that mush night life in our college. The campus entry get restricted after 8pm every day and the students after class can get involved in many activities like basketball, football. Also there are many teams like fashion team which has many practice sessions after college. We doesn't have a college hostel. also there is no specific activity to do after college.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
