D.B Pampa College Parumala's review

BSc(Mathematics) is a 3 years full-time bachelor's degree program in which subjects taught are calculus, Co-ordinate geometry, Algebra, mechanics, Probability theory, etc. This college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam so the course curriculum is also according to the university course curriculum and the same is with the exam structure.

This is the area where the college needs a lot of improvement, placement is totally dependent on the student's capability as the college doesn't have any proper placement cell or services from the college side. Students will have to seek jobs and career opportunities themselves.

College celebrates almost all the events and festivals throughout the year. Main events are national events like Independence Day, Republic Day, Swacchata Divas, Yoga Day etc, except these events college also celebrates festivals like College annual day, Annual festival, Freshers Day, etc.

The college has scholarship and freeship facilities under which students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, X'an Convert and other eligible communities can get the full fee concession, Lump Sum Grant and Stipend. Other than this there are also provided OBC Fee Concession, National Loan Scholarship, Kerala State scholarship and many more.

Water coolers and filter in every block, Air-conditioned Smart seminar Hall, Digital Classrooms in every Department, Air-conditioned conference room, Ladies Hostel, 24-hour security, Auditorium, Badminton court and many more, almost all the facilities which are necessary for the students are available.

Yes, the college has an alumni association present in the college which allows the students who have passed out from the college in previous years to register so they can be called in the alumni meets organized in the college. The college organizes alumni meets at regular intervals.

I applied online through the Mahatma Gandhi University website by filling out the application form present on the website and got selected by the merit. The minimum eligibility for the course entry is 60% in class 12th. I got admission after presenting the relevant documents to the admission team.
