Course Curriculum Overview

4

This curriculum is much more flexible than it's past counterparts. Timing of the exams are pretty good, not too congested.. The curriculum includes more projects, seminars and activities. This helps us to learn a lot in a new perspective.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission, tuition fees and speical fees together took around ?3000. For other batch mates, it took around the same rate. A little lower for the reservations. A few scholarships are also made avail by the college to the eligible students, like by merit or sports, etc.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is really good. Technically no ragging by seniors at all. We have lots of freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of clothing, etc. A wide varitey of books, journals, magazines, papers, etc are available in our library. An extensive collection in a well arranged manner. A lots of sports events are offered . Sports like fencing, softball baseball, soft baseball, basketball, volleyball, chess, basketball, table tennis, football, cricket, etc are offered. A lots of clubs are in our college. Ran both by students and / or by the college. Good support for student ran clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4

Electricity is there in the hostel. Only thing I feel negative is no Wi-Fi. A room has three people in it. Three beds. We'll have to use our own mattress and pillows. All the basic facilities are provides. We'll have to register for the hostel through college office and then have to get approved by hostel warden. A wide variety of food items are available. Just the thing is same food for everyone at a time. Same breakfast for everyone, same dinner for everyone, etc. But a lot different food items are given including for snacks. We laso get tean and black tea. College hostel is locted very close to college campus, just outside.

Admission

The NAAC accreditation of this college was A++, which is really outstanding. The sports facilities are also good. I had also got admission in Henry Baker College, Melukavu. But that college was pretty small, I felt it didn't suit me.. I got admission in Catholicate college in the second round of seat allotment. I had put CCP as the first option. Admission processes are simple, yet time taking due to the crowd and interviews we have to take. Takes 3-4 hours to get all the job done. Anyone who passed +2 can apply for a course they have studied in +2.

Faculty

4

Faculties generally have a positive approach to the students. In our department, around 15 faculties are there. Like 1 faculty for ~14/15 students. I like our class teacher Asitha ma'am class well. Sibi sir also teaches well. All the faculties have a warm approach to us. Some class tests are there, then comes the internals and the sem exams. Internals and class tests are usually easy to crack. Just needs proper concentration and awareness. Sem exams need a deeper knowledge. It has a good relevance to course curriculum.

Night Life

4

Malarvadi, pavilion, etc are some of my favourite spots. A gym is there, but it's not that big. A cafeteria and a canteen is there. Food and associated facilities are good there. Gym opens early in the morning around 5:30 or so. Cafeteria opens around 9 AM along with almost every other places in our college. In hostel we've to get in by 7 pm. In campus there's no strict regulations, except classes which are from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Locality is usually safe at night with no violent incidents reported here in near past.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
