About St. Thomas College
St Thomas College was started up by the efforts of the Diocese of Pala a municipal town on the banks of the Meenachil river, 28 km from the district headquarters Kottayam, Kerala. Originally affiliated to Travancore University the college started with an Undergraduate course in Arts. Today the college provides both undergraduate and post graduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science under many departments whose number totals to a sum of 15. Its professors and research scholars are engaged in research and have been credited to many research papers.The college is situated on the Ettamunoor Erattupetta Road, a rural location and hosts a modern infrastructure consisting of lecture halls, auditorium, library, laboratories and computer center. There are 100 plus faculty all well experienced and well known in their respective streams of education. The institution has celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2010 and it would not be surprising to find that many students of the college have found themselves to be among the top students of the Mahatma Gandhi University. The College sees its Research Scholars regularly being awarded Doctoral degrees. It not only excels in academic the students of the college have continuously won laurels in the national and state level sports competitions and other cultural festivals.

I got admission for Bsc Mathematics in St Thomas College Palai Kottayam. The eligibility for this course is plus two.The college is Autonomous now.So application will be carried out through college's website. The application starts from month of May.If you have above 95 percentage in plus two.Then the seats are sure for your course.

The admission process is through the university website. You can go to the mahatma Gandhi university website and there you can cap the ug admission process and just go through it. It has 5 allotments. 1 as a trial. So we can change college from next allotment onwards you should take admission

The admission process was based on the allotment process, I didn't take any entrance examination. Reservation for sc st is in the allottment process. Application fees are less than 1000 dates announced in the official page of university

Eligibility to the course is 12th pass.70% of the admission to the course is through MGU CAP (Centralized Allotment Process) to get admission through this mode we have to apply online through MG University Admission Portal.20%,10% of seats are reserved for management quota & community quota respectively. To get admission in the management quota, we have to apply online in the MGU admission portal and then fill form issued by the college office and submit it there itself. Application Fees for Centralized Allotment Process:? 750 for all candidates except SC/ST & ? 375 for SC/ST candidates.50% of seats are open quota i.e it is filled on merit basis.20% of seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates 15% for SC candidates and 5% for ST candidates.

Syllabus is very good and is NET based as this is the new syllabus. College promotes both academics and extra curricular activities, Faculties are well qualified and helpful. The classes are very interesting and friendly. the library is also very very vast. The other facilities offered by college helps you to develop as a better human being and thereby makes you self sufficient and an ideal individual. Friends are also very helpful. Syllabus and portions are covered at the right time using a well planned time table. Seminars, and other programmes helps us to improve ourselves
