Remarks :

Good studying atmosphere Good faculty Give prior importance to the personal growth of students Take a great interest in encouraging students to take part in extra curricular activities A good library

Course Curriculum Overview :

Since it’s a model three programme, we have a wide opportunities to go for. We have english literature and journalism as core subjects. There are two internship (training) programs during the course through which we are exposed to actual working environment.

Internships Opportunities :

In between the course there are two internships. One, to be an intern in a media organisation of our preference and the other to be a communicative english trainer in a school and to teach students from 5th to 10th. The period of internship is two months and there are no stipend for the same. Having exposed to actual working environment, i was able to put into effect the theories i have learned

Placement Experience :

There are many companies that come to the college for college placements. I was placed at Wipro as a communication executive with a really good salary package for a beginner. Also there are certain schools and organizations that come for teaching post.

College Events :

We have arts day, sports day and college day, which is the most important three events that’s conducted in the college annually. Also we have an intercollegiate fest in which the colleges from across the country come for participation. Excluding these there are several other events conducted by the departments and various clubs in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is really feasible. The facilities provided by the college is very advanced. The infrastructure is a highly advanced one with even an esculator. We have a good library, computer labs, a gym, a canteen and a very good campus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a scholarship for students who have a very poor financial background. The college provied aid for such students by either giving discounts or by giving admission free of cost. When the floods occured in the state, the college gave away many commodities to the victimised families of the students and aided them with financial support

Campus Life :

Students are given complete encouragement for extra curricular activities including sports and others. There is a football ground, a cricket court, a basketball court and a volleyball court in the campus. Also there are computer labs in each floor of the college. There are several clubs including sports club, arts club, literature club, dance club, etc functioning in the college

Hostel Facilities :

There are two hostels, one for boys and one for girls. The food is provided in the hostel mess. The menu is too good including both veg and non veg. Each floor has a bathroom and a toilet, hygiene. The room is spacious enough and also there is a very big study hall in both.

Alumni/Alumna :

My seniors very really helpful when it came to organising events in the college. Their experiences helped us a lot in planning things. Every year they conduct a get together and also in the inhouse magazine of the college, the almuni contribution is always seen

Exam Structure :

There are two internals and one university exam in each semester. Internal exams’ marks are added to the internal score which is added to the university marklist of each sem. The university marks of each paper is out of 100 of which 20 is internal score.

Admission :

At first I applied in the allotment process of the university under which the college was affiliated to ( MG university, Kottayam) and chose two colleges where the course was offered. De Paul was my first preference. I was admitted in the college for the course in the first allotment itself.

Faculty :

Every single teacher in a way or the other had experience in journalism field making it easier for them to explain the actual working environment. They give equal attention to every student, taking into concern their caliber

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before I'm joining the course, I had many expectations but after 3 semesters the syllabus started becoming useless and complicated. There are many topics in the syllabus which is not have to study. It's like 40% main topics and the rest are stuffed for nothing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many areas of improvements in the course curriculum to be further good and appropriatable. The exam timings could be unexpectable while study materials are nowhere to find which is challenging.
