Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum considers all the essential topics for the student as it teaches us the theory and gives us internship for real world experience the course can be improved by many more internships and real world experiences the exams are almost perfect as the end of the semester
Internships Opportunities
There have not been any internships so far for me as I am in my fourth semester we have an internship towards the end of this semester as it's part of the course the collage provides internship according to course title like if it's salesmanship the collage internship will be in a supermarket for salesman
Fees and Financial Aid
In maharajas college there is no year wise fees as there is only admission fee of 2785 and there is no management in this college as it is a government autonomous college for ba students the fees is less compared to bsc courses. maharajas college students mainly rely on scholarships as most of the students are from a normal background and there are scholarships such as Egrantz provided by the state government which covers all the expenses including the fees and hostel fees
Campus Life
Our college is filled with programs like magazine inauguration she fest union inaugration victory day kalolsavam youth fest campus carnival these programs begin from evening 3 to night 10 it's the best campus in Kerala for programs we conduct sports tournament for students the library is filled with all kinds of books including rare collection of books worth thousands
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is average compared to other hostels in the city as the room is basic it provides a bed which can accomodate 4 people and the room is for 4 people so it's basic and there is one cup oard for storing items one fan and light that's all the food is below average as it's not good registration process is simple while admission and the fees are very affordable the hostel fee varies from 2000-3000
Admission
I had applied to brennen college Thalassery university college Thiruvananthapuram and maharajas college ernakulam I have received admission at all 3 colleges but maharajas is special compared to other colleges as it allows a person to become themselves not just academics but all aspects of life like college politics
Faculty
The faculty in Maharajas college are well qualified and well experienced as most of the teachers are from top institute across the country like jnu jamia milia the faculty and students are well connected as there is a clear bond Economics department teachers are well qualified There are semester exams and internal exams throughout the year and our teachers help us throughout the year with important topics
Night Life
The night life of maharajas is what made me attracted to this college the nights here are very peaceful as the moonlight shines on the college verandha and the silent steps it's the best at night the hostel timings are 9.30 pm the college has many hangout spots like centre circle martyrs verandha and many more
