Likes

Firstly I liked the friends around me in my batch .they were very supportive and cooperative.
Infrastructure was good and well equipped with different laboratories.
Library section was well maintained for the students.

Dislikes

Canteen facilities can be improved for the students .
Placement needs to be done for the students .it should me made complete by the college.
The facilities availablity and teaching method could be improved and made more effective and efficient especially the teaching hours of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since I was a commerce background student that inspired me to do further studies specializing in accountancy and finance only .so I opted the course but was mentally not prepared for the unforeseen circumstances that led me to give several backlogs one after another. Covers essential topics but may lack depth in advanced areas or practical applications. Limited in scope, missing key aspects of the subject, or outdated.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for the course (M.COM) I opted for in the college netaji nagar day college,Kolkata which comes under University of Calcutta was around ?20,000-?25000 per year which includes admission fees, examination fees, development fees, miscellaneous fees.the college also provides students with the facilities of different types of scholarship. The first year scholarship which I was rewarded with was around ?20,000

Campus Life

Saraswati Puja happens in college every year to celebrate the power of knowledge and blessings from the devi of wisdom and knowledge. Extra curricular activities were not held.no sports were held for the students .

Admission

The admission process was quiet easy as we were alloted different colleges according to our choice and our merit by the university.we just have to clear the payment online after getting selected in a particular college . And yes I did got rejected by other college which I wanted to go for because of the merit cut off . Bcom hons students were only allowed to go for this course .

Faculty

The faculties were not approachable attitude all.they don't care about the students future and mental health at all.most of the faculties from this college should be retained because they were very aggressive and arrogant .70 out of 80students were marked fail purposely.most of the students left the course because of this .

Night Life

After 2nd year students are eligible for placements Deloitte and pwc only these two companies visited our campus and the highest they were offering was for 4.2 lpa. The placement was in the basis of their own exam and interview.

Honest review of CU as a B.Tech student of ECE

I had applied to JU and GCECT, GCELT. I was accepted in GCECT and GCELT for CSE and other brances but opted for CU ECE because of its reputation and future scope. I didn't clear the cutoff for JU Instrumentation. To get in the college one must clear the wbjee exam and follow through the councelling process. Deep Dive into your true College Experience at SXC Kolkata

i applied to the National University of Singapore where i got admission in the Economics course but had to take back my offer due to personal reasons. moreover i tried for colleges in Delhi University however my score wasnt adequate for the college i wanted for economics so i had to stay back in this college which otherwise was my choice over any other college. the admission process here is rather tedious, you have to get your registration form for this college signed by your school principal with your picture and get that along with all other original documents during the document verification day, eligibility i believe includes the presence of mathematics at any cost. the cutoffs here go pretty high, especially for economics, calculated on a maths+best of 4 basis out of 200....Read More

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high. At least 70 percent marks in graduation are mandatory to take admission in this university on the merit basis. Application form are generally found on University official website in August.
