Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is updated at regular periods of time to match the indsutry needs. There is a CIA (Continuous Internal Assessment) every month and they account for a minimum of 10% of the grade. Mid Semester and End Semester Exams are quite difficult and almost 10 fail in a class of 70.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students can get internships at Amazon, Flipkart, Meta and many other companies that are data-driven. Students are made to analyse data and provide the team with a result. Students also have a high chance of getting hired by the same company.

Placement Experience

5

Almost all students get placed if they have scored above 60% in their exams. An average package of 3 LPA is offered. Students can get placed after the 4th semester and usually get hired by the companies that had offered them internships in the first place.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 1.2L per annum. It costs 3.6L over the course of 3 years. It is optional to complete our Honours (research) and it costs 1.6L over the period of a year. There is a fee concession for people from backward economic backgrounds and a lot of scholarships and the amount wavered varies depending on their choice.

Campus Life

5

There is a club for every student and the campus is always so happening. You could find a event every other day of the week. There are a lot of sports teams representing the University. Ethnic day is an event where students show up in their traditional wear and celebrate.

Admission

There is an online enterance exam and a personal interview where students must prove their vocabulary skills and knowledge in the subject. My first priority was Christ as they offer great placements and provide us with a lot of exposure.

Faculty

3

Faculties aren't really experienced. The curriculum keeps changing to keep pace with the needs of the industry. The exams are definitely above average in terms of difficulty and almost 10 people failed at least one subject in the first semester.

Night Life

4

Day scholars have to pay a sum of 1000 ruppees per month to access the gym and hostellers pay 500 ruppees. Library is open till 9pm. Cafes include almost every cusine from India and several other countries too. Kormanagla is very close and offers a lot of activities like clubbing

Other Applied Colleges

PSG College of Arts and Science | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Computer Science)

There was an ragging issue at PSG's Hostel so I opted for Christ which is more disciplined in this aspect

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
