MNNIT Allahabad : Student's Review

The course curriculum is not very advanced as it is supposed to be in today's world. It needs an update to ready students for the current demands of the industry. Talking of the college exams, each semester has two exams , a mid-sem and an end-sem. Their difficulty level is moderate.

Students have secured internships in prestigious companies like Microsoft, TATA Motors, ACCENTURE etc. We've had a great track record in the past with many of our interns securing PPOs from companies they've worked in.

In year 2024, In the CSE DEPARTMENT,total 199 students sat for placements and total 248 offers were made. The average CTC was 28.38 lacs whereas the highest CTC 71.14 lacs. For Btech ( all branches considered together), the average CTC was 19.48 lacs, highest CTC 71.14 lacs and the median CTC was 13.39 lacs.

Yearly fees estimates to 2,43000 rs. This includes 50,000/ year for mess, 24,000/ year for the hostels and rest is the tution fees ( for general category students ). This fee is paid semester wise. Many scholarships ( state level and national level ) are there for students to opt from. The college itself informs the students about the available scholarships which they can choose from. Fir category students, a big relaxation is given and their fees comes down to around 1/3 of what general category students are supposed to pay.

The college infrastructure is not that good as it is expected to be in an institute of national importance ! . It's quite old. Although cleanliness is still there and maintained throughout the college campus. The college conducts two annual fests, CULRAV ( institute's cultural fest ) and AVISHKAR ( institute's technical fest ). Multiple events and competitions are organised for students to actively participate and showcase their talent. The Coding club is a student lead club aimed to help students enhance their coding skills, participate in coding contests and competitive programming. The seniors of the club are very approachable and everready to help you.

The first year boys are allotted th 7 floored SVBH hostel. It has big spacious rooms shared by four students. The rooms are cleaned every day by the cleaning staff.Each floor has four toilets , one at each corner. The toilets are also cleaned every morning. From second year and onwards students are given double sharing and single sharing rooms. The ground floor has two mess which provide good quality food cooked and served with proper hygiene. Four meals are provided everyday which include breakfast, lunch, supper and dinner. Hostel accomodation is optional and students can choose whether they want to opt for hostels or not.

To get admission in MNNIT ALLAHABAD, students have to write the JEE MAINS examination and perform well in it to get their desired branch based on the rank they secure. I personally chose MNNIT ALLAHABAD over other colleges for the amazing coding culture it offers that makes it stand ahead of other NITs which I could have gone to.

The faculty at MNNIT Allahabad is really supportive and helpful. They have a good amount of knowledge and experience, which they use to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. The professors are approachable, and they always encourage us to ask questions and clear our doubts

The college has 3 cafe which unfortunately do not run over night. However hostel canteens still function till around 3 am in the morning. The college Gymkhana is equipped with almost all necessary equipments. The Central Library of Mnnit allahabad is well equipped with plethora of high quality information resources , aimed at assisting the institute's educational and research program by offering physical and digital access to books and information. It has reading halls fully air conditioned for students .
