Course Curriculum Overview

4

The framework of the really good and nice as it has vast diversity of topics . Unlike the ither courses which has some irrelevant topics from semester to semester we have a good framework of curriclum in which the next semester curriculum develops on the previous semester curriculum so that we carry atleast some information from one sem to another . We have to work on our projects where we are actually gainig skiils and knowledge about the demands of the industry. Compared to end semester exams where we are required to memorise and write this evaluation system is far better as it tests on our original knowledge and presence of mind compare to the usual end sem exams which actually tests on our memorising capacity.

Internships Opportunities

3

usually there are many top companies coming for interships like microsoft, intel , tcs , etc.. and usually offers a good amount of package usually most of the students get placed in a good company with good packages the project outcome is basically on the what type fo problem statemnt that we choose for doing the project

Placement Experience

3

the placements starts from the second year and the eligibility is that the students should not have any backlogs and should have an average cgpa og 7 or 7.5 the companies like wipro, tcs , deloit and many more have visited and have requrited students the highest package is around 56 lakh per annum Usually 90% of the students gets placements regard less of the studenst who want to apply for masters for prepare for competetive exams or upsc exams i have planned to prepare for my upsc exam after getting a degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Our university has two way for students to secure admission for studying. The first is through the management quota (Slab four) which requires a tuition fee of 6 lakh per year. The second is through counselling which has three rounds of seats allotments called as slabs . The tuition fee for each slab differs for different courses . For first slab it is 1.5 lakh per year and for second slab it is 2.9 lakh per year and for third year it is 4 lakh round per year. The fee structure also varies from campus to campus, so tha same course may have different fees at different campuses. In addition to the tuition fee we pay 1.07 lakh as hostel fee which includes 40 thousand as hostel accomodation fee and the balance 58 thousand as our mess fee. Additional we pay 10 thousand as caution deposit for hostel and academics seperately which is paid only once thoughout our course completion at the beginning of the year. Beyond this there is no additional fees paid. An important point is that we maintain certain CGPA to stay in the slab we were alloted during the counselling time. If we fail to maintain the required CGPA , we are moved to the next slab and must pay the tuition fee for that slab through our college years. For example if you were allocated a seat in first slab and you fail to meet the required CGPA then you will be shifted to the next slab which is the second slab and are required to pay that fee. You will remain only in this slab for the upcoming years and you will not be shifted to the previous slab even if you get reuired CGPA that is required for first slab. However, third slab students will remian in that slab even if they dont meet the required CGPA and will not be shifted to the fouth slab (management quota).

Campus Life

4

Usually we not hav e culturals in our college and we have only a tech event called ANOKHA and we usually celebrate some festivals like ganesh chathurthi, navratri, diwali, gokulastami and etc... We have access to thousands of book in our library in addition to this we have free access to all type of e books , novel ,journel, etc. the facilites and technologica; provisions are really great that we have our individual systems in our places which has only limited and essential acces and are connected to college wifi there are many clubs at our college which focuses on building skills , finding intrest in what we do , helps in making good relationship with the students and ect our colllege has great infrastrucute and a good climate as it is situated in between the mountains of western ghats

Hostel Facilities

4

our hostel facility is good that we have water dispensor where can have hot, cold and normal water at any time . we have hot water coming from 6am to 9 am in the morning for taking bath and we are allowed to use hair dryer that consume relatively less power and we have seperate wifi for every single rooms . The meal is quite good and healthy that we always have a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and fats and the thing is that there is no on veg food served in our hostel mess not even eggs . How ever nonveg is available in some of the cafeterias There is no specific registration for hostel usuallu where you are coming to join the university from a longer distance you will be allocated a room for which you need to pay the hostel fee, mess fee and caution deposit for confirmation and you should fill the hostel undertaking form for that

Admission

I have applied for SRM university , VIT, Christ, and NGP institute and obviously for amrita too. the reason why i choose amrita over the other college is that te course it offered to me which the other colleges dont even have such course exept amrita. I dont get any rejection in any of these colleges but in some case i have not applied for counselling rounds as parents were not allowing me to travel such a long distance for my college . I have not applied counselling for VIT and Christ . Our college has only two types of addmission process which is through management quota and the other is through the counselling . For counselling you can use your amrita entrance examination score or your JEE score. the eligibility for this course is that we need atleast 60% or above in our 12th grades in physics , chemistry and maths. The admission process was very hectic has it has three rounds of counselling and during the time of allotment i had feared a lot

Faculty

3

We belonging to the department of artificial intelligence dont have semester exams at the end of the semester instead we are required to do projects for each subjects and are evaluated based on that . currently our evaluation system is like 50 50 which is 50 percent for the daily test that we write on our tuesday, wednesday and thursday with two subjects combined at each time and the remaining 50 percent is based on our project which includes certain weightage for our reviews conducted in between the final review and viva answered . Our faculties are good that teach good and are really friendly with us and helps us regarless of what time it is and give more ideas related to our projects and encourage us to participate during the classes as the class is more important of being interactive apart from giving the information to the students

Night Life

4

the cafeterias are great that we have 3 cafeteria inside the campus and gym is really good for boys and is not great for girls while the library is just great and have seperate sections for studying e books and a reading section where we can study for our college and etc For girls the hostel in time is 8.30 while it is 9 for boys and 10pm for both Pg boys and girls Famous hangout place is obviously cafeteria where we use to go with friends and chit chat and eat and it is really safe to raom at night inside the campus as the security guards are present every where it os really safe for girls go out at night
