Shaping Future : My Journey at SCMS??

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics ensuring a broad understanding of the subject. The inclusion of projects and assignments helps develop problem solving skills and teamwork.The KTU syllabus is regularly updated to keep pace with industry trends. Weakness may be the focus on theoretical aspects sometimes overshadows practical applications, Limited opportunities for hands on training and industry exposure. My decision to take ECE from KTU is that their curriculum covers a wide range of ECE topics, they provide various elective courses in areas like VLSI Design, They also provide exposure to programming languages for ece students like Python , VHDL , Matlab which are widely used in the industry.

From 3rd year (5th,6th sem) most probably 6th sem onwards students become eligible for Campus placements. Some of the top companies have visited in our campus include TCS, Infosys, Accenture,Ultratech, Cognizant and others too. Exact number of offers made for one student can vary depending upon the student's performance. Package may vary depending upon the company and profile, but it is around 6LPA and the average pack is around 2-3LPA. Placement percentage may vary depending upon the department as there is more no of CSE Students more than 60% of students is placed form CSE department.

The year wise fees I have paying is 40,000 because in the college they are providing scholarship for students based on their 12th grade performance. If I'm right i think it is only for departments except Computer science. So for the admission time i have paid around 80,000 including my first year fees, hostel fees and all other fees. Hostel fees is 2000 and extra 4000 should be paid for mess so around 6000. 4000 will be varied depending upon holidays we have taken. If you are leave for 10 days in the hostel you will be getting a Mess Cut in which mess fees will be reduced. For fee waiver categories they are getting other scholarships and all.

Vipanchika(arts fest) was held mostly around the end of the semester most probably during even semesters.Tech fest also will be conducted after 1 year break. Library has a vast collection over 10,000 books, journals and periodicals. Library is fully automated with cataloging and circulation systems. Students have access to eBooks, online journals and databases like IEEE and all. Library has a quite peaceful atmosphere making it an ideal place for studying and reasearch. Classrooms: Classrooms are well equipped with modern facilities like projector and all. They are spacious,well ventilated and comfortable seating arrangements. Sports and extracurricular activities: students can participate in technical clubs, such as robotics and innovation clubs like IEDC,IEEE and all. College has a range of student run clubs also.

Facilities provided in a room- Good shelfs,table for studying and chairs. Dinner quality it is most probably not so healthy food like they are providing chilly chicken and all but there is a good option as they are providing rice porridge also. For meals it is very nice as they provide wide range of curries. Registration process is during Admission process. Hostel fees is 2000+4000 for mess fees. Pg's are available at palissery and nalukett nearby the colleges

I have got admission at this college through KEAM entrance examination. I have applied for various colleges too as I have rank about 33k something I got admission here, I have given for EWS category in the entrance exam so that time cut off for ece in SCMS was around 33k. I don't get rejection I don't get admission on the other colleges is only because of my rank. Admission here was like Eligibility criteria : To pass in 10,+2 examination with PCM(physics, chemistry,maths) Exams Accepted: KEAM,JEE Main and advanced. Cut offs: KEAM - For keam every year average for my College for ece the rank is between 10-35k For JEE cut off based on Marks will be between 80-120 Admission experience there is very smooth and transparent , college provides user friendly application portal for students to apply. College provide scholarships and financial aid to deserving students. Overall admission experience at SCMS is student friendly and hassle free.

I'm not at all aware about the ratio but it allows for personalized attention and mentorship from the faculty members. The faculty student relationship is very cordial & supportive. Coming to exams here based on KTU we are having to two internal exams which will be out of 50 marks and from our two internals,attendance, assignment and all our internal marks will be taken out of 50. Some teachers may be giving very good internals and others not. Sometimes at the end of the university exam some students may fail only because the lack of internal Overall I feel they the teachers are plays a significant role in shaping our academic and personal growth.

No admission was direct I don't attend any interview as I got admission through KEAM. So I don't what about other students who all attended interview there. Criteria was for my admission was just go there with all the important documents only

College provides free service for Gym. Cafeterias are very well maintained and cleaned also provides variety of snacks and foods. Hostel Timing - Girls and Junior boys should be in the hostel between 7.45pm and Senior boys should be around 8.30pm. Campus timing - 8.45am to 3.45pm Famous hangout place around college - KFC at koratty, and other restaurants. Night life is not good as we are not allowed to get outside after 7.45pm for girls and for boys after 8.30pm
