Course Curriculum Overview

Main thing that attracted me to take this course is because most of my family members are electrically employed EEE is a great course with great future as it is needed as electricity is used for daily uses . They can improve teaching by including more practicals. Exams are easy but a module contains more things to study

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Placement Experience

My college is offering so many placement . After 8 semester one could get placements.i don't know the name of the companies visited as I am a newbie. Almost 80 percent of students get placement my plan is to get job on kseb or work with my family

Fees and Financial Aid

For an year it takes 145000 indian rupees and for transport it takes 27000per year and a caution fee of 10000 only for 1st year for nri it's 2 lakhs almost and for merit 90000 per yearthere are so many scholarships from IEE and Asme etc

Campus Life

There is a cultural festival and ignite and other festival conducted by students associations . College has one of the largest library in the world,which has study materials and fiction books. Classrooms are having projectors wifi facility and green boards. there are so many sports league conducted in the college and a gym with all equipments. The student association does have secretaries and president

Admission

I have only applied for Federal institute of science and technology as it was conveyed to me by a friend of my mother and admission process in the college was very smooth i didnt got any rejection from colleges as I didn't apply my college accepts jee and keam aspirants

Faculty

Faculties of the college is very supportive they responds to our queries at the office eldhoes is good as he is joyfull there are total of 8 sems with sem breaks and as well as semester exams and it's all based on the new 2024 scheme

Night Life

Gym closes at 8pm and cafeterias closes at 6pm and library at 6 pm. Hostel students wake up at 6 as it is time given to them for studying and campus is so near to hostel in the campus the famous hang out is juice corner and outside college it is a place called pandi pali it's safe to sage to roam around at the night.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

There was cut off for the admisiion process i think the cut off was around 45000 in the keam rank. Based on the rank you will get a seat in the merit. There are several scholarship for the students who all are financially not stable...Read More
