Likes

The cost of the course is very cheap and affordable for anyone.
There is no ragging in this college and friendly environment .

Dislikes

Campus of the college is vey small there is hardly any place to play or do any stuff.
Most of the time washrooms are dirty and very stinky.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is not difficult so anyone can do this course but I think there is not any guarantee that after the completion of course you will get any better job . The course don't have many real world solutions.

Placement Experience

Placement package of this college is very low or average, but it is good that they are providing placement for the course like b.com . Most of the students of this college don't study for the placement from the college there preparing for other jobs or higher studies from the beginning of the college year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not many charges in our college Tuition fees per semester is 570 , and exam fees for every exam is 480 and if the attendance percentage will be below 75 % then additional fees 100 will be added , otherwise there isn't any changes other than these . For ST, SC there tuition fees is lower from the general students . And the college also provide scholarship but the money is very little around 2k And there is one more scholarship (swami vivekanand Anand )that West Bengal government provide for the needed students . Everything in this college is preety much average like the government colleges in kolkata, campus is also very small.

Campus Life

Infrastructure if preety decent at first it feels very small now i think its fine , here it is easy to make friends everyone is very friendly, i like this college because of the friends i got here . I have a good social life here.

Admission

I choose this college because this college is one of the best college for b.com in kolkata and this college is very much affordable. And you can do other studies while studying in the college like preparation for CA ,CMA etc.

Faculty

Not every professor is good with the students some are very friendly and cooperation and some are little rude like they don't care about the students they only come to class to finish the syllabus quickly and for their own attendance.

Night Life

There is no night life in the college, College gate close around 5pm and there is not any thing for night there are some stalls and jewellery shops around. There isn't any good cafe around. College surrounding is not good that much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to pursue my B.COM (Hons) degree from JD Birla Institute purely because of the rankings. It is affiliated with a well-known university. This college focuses a lot on academics and is very strict about punctuality. The level of difficulty during exams is moderate. If you study hard, you score well, if you don't, you get the marks you deserve. No biasness on that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

At my HS I choose commerce and I score 75% that's why I join B.com Hons, there is at least 5 to 6 professor available at a time for every subject, and when anyone of student has a doubt they solve it immediately or after the class end, they are well qualified as they have Dr. degree, every year there are 2 examinations, it was not so easy or not so suffer.

Decent professors with good environment

Remarks:

Decent college to study at an affordable fee structure. Any middle class or poor category student can afford to study in the college quite easily I don't regret being a student of the college at all.

Remarks:

There are a no. Of positive remarks as the students get a pool of friends not only from India but also from outside India . The college infrastructure is very good and faculties and seniors are very supportive. The only negative fact is that the attendance is very strict and attendance less than 75% in any subject will lead to suspension from examination in that particular subject.

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
