Course Curriculum Overview

5

IT, the course is nice and industry oriented. I have all required subjects taught in the college itself like compiler design, comp architecture, data structure, discrete maths etc. There are two exams in one sem which is good in my opinion.

Placement Experience

3

There are good companies visiting our college and some PSU too like BEL. almost all the cse students get placed, good companies for cse/ece come in the college though the pay is <15lpa. I will be looking for a job after my degree L&T, Infosys, Capegemini, accenture, TCS.. and refer to college site for more names.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee including hostel mess is near about two lakhs, there's a scholarship if you have less than one lakh rank in jee mains.. But there's a minimum cgpa criteria for that There's no category based scholarship. Though i have applied for UP govt scholarship as am financially weak. its like 60k per year if am not wrong.

Campus Life

3

There are many clubs for the students to join, photography, singing, dancing, drama, coding, Astronomy, Entrepreneurship And tech and cultural fests happen too. So i think its good in terms of extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hotels are so nice, especially the ones given to first year students. New BASOHLI. I don't think there should be any problem regarding hostels. Its mostly clean too and complaints are heard too. So yeah. There's one bed, table chair, two cupboard and one shelf. Mess is average with variety of dishes. Registration is done once in an year.

Admission

I didn't apply to big name private colleges because am not so well off financially. SMVDU was my last choice though, but am quite satisfied now. The college takes admission from Josaa/csab counselling. Cut off for cse is around 93%le for general students in jee mains.

Faculty

4

The ratio is satisfactory.. Faculty is good and ever ready to help.. The faculty from SoCSE are so good. same for ece like vikram singh sir ans sakshi mam, balbir singh sir are really nice teachers who teach in first sem. Exams are upto the mark, the undeserving gets filter out and they are definitely relevant. I don't like some of the lab assistants.

Night Life

3

The in timings is little strict, its like 8pm for girls.. and everyone has to be in campus before 9. Theres no much night life as the college is far from a city.. Though there's a small market outside, which has gym, restaurants, shops etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
