Course Curriculum Overview

4

course curriculum has been changed after the new education policy nep and now it is good and it has been made easier for the students.. ai/ml has been included in all the branches... more labs have been included

Internships Opportunities

3

most of the companies for internship come for circuital branches only which is not good some of the names of the companies are Microsoft, google, goldman sachs, texas instruments, Qualcomm , tata steel and many more

Placement Experience

4

over 1300 job offers were made in the last placement season.. the ghest package was of rs 1.2 cr of a senior from ei branch and that was off campus the average package was 15 lac per annum nearly all the people who registered got job

Fees and Financial Aid

for btech total fees for 1st sem is 124000 after that for each consecutive sem is nearly 110000... if you're sc/st or your family income is below 100000 your 2/3rd fees will be waived, the above fees which i told include hostel mess and everything.. getting scholarship is pretty difficult unless you're family income is quite less and you;re also a very good student

Campus Life

4

Campus Life at nit rourkela is vibrant and diverse, offering plenty of opportunities for social interaction... The institute has over 100 active student clubs and societies catering to various interest

Hostel Facilities

4

nit Rourkela has 10 boys and 3 girls' hostels along with one married scholar's hostel. meal quality is poor also the rooms are very small first-year students are provided single rooms ..wifi is there 24 into7

Admission

it was ranked as the third nit so I chose this college i guess the placements are not that good compared to other colleges... The admission process is hefty you have to participate in josaa or csab for btech program

Faculty

4

faculties are nice...they are helpful..., and course structure is little also we have 85 percentage attendance policy and the administration is not considerate for low attendance...you will have to face consequences if the attendance criteria is not fulfilled. A semester has two exams namely-midsem and end sem, midsem carries 30 marks and end sem carries 50 marks and 20 marks is from the teacher's assessment. If your CGPA is less than 4, in three consecutive sem you'll be restrigated from college

Night Life

4

hostels are open 24 by 7 creating a welcoming atmosphere for students for late night discussions, project work night canteen in hostels are go to a spot for late night snacks and socilizing the biju Patnaik library is opened till 10 pm except on saturday and sunday

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.
