Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because the curriculum is well structured and covers a broad range of topics, especially in Economics and Geography, which aligns with my interests. The curriculam effectively prepares students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits by emphasizing practical knowledge and critical thinking.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my BA 1st year, I paid rupees 4400, with the following fee structure: AU enrollment fees: 400 AU exam fees: 750 Athiletic fees: 250 Cultural fees:200 Development fees: 1000 ID card fees: 200 Library fees: 250 Poor student aid: 100 Practical fee:250 Student council fee: 50 Tution fee: 600 Similarly, In the 2nd year, I paid rupees 3850, and in the third year, I paid rupees 4050. The fees remained almost constant throughout the three years.

Campus Life

4

Exactly I could not remember the names of the technical festivals which are usually held in my college. But there is too many compitions and skill improvement courses are availible for students. There is almost 6-9 thousands no of books are availible in library for normal students and researchers. The college organizes programs for sports or extracurriculam activities every 3-6 months, such as chess, running, kabaddi, and badminton etc. Additionally, services like NCC(National Cadet Corps) and NSS(National Service Scheme) are also available in the college.

Admission

I had applied for college at the Allahabad University Main campus, but due to the introduction of CUET for the first time and a lack of complete information. I couldn't appear for the General test because of a mistake by the cyber cafe operator. As a result, I wasn't selected for the main campus. I chose this college because it is the best college for girls and ranks number one among affiliated colleges. To get admission here, you first need to take the CUET entrance exam. After qualifying for the cutoff list, your admission is confirmed.

Faculty

5

There is a good relationship between the faculty and the students. All faculty members help students as quickly as possible. I particularly like all the Economics faculty because they teach the subject very well, which has increased my interest in Economics. I admire the head of the Economics Department, Dr Sikha Dikshit Ma'am, and Dr Reena Yadav Ma'am a lot. There is no faculty member I dislike; everyone is great. In our college, there is only one exam conduct each year, which is of moderate difficulty. Very few student fail to pass it.

Night Life

4

The nightlife around Allahabad University is quite peaceful, as the campus and hostels have set timings. The campus closes by 10 PM, and most hostels follow a strict curfew by 9:30 PM. After classes, students unwind by hanging out in the open spaces inside the campus or go to nearby cafes and restaurants in Civil lines or the University area. Popular hangout spots include the Chai Wala, the campus lawns, and the nearby parks. These experiences give a relaxed vibe to campus life and help in maintaining a good work-life balance.

I'd rate BA Hons English curriculum at BHU 4.5/5. Strengths: comprehensive literature coverage, language skills development, and critical thinking. Weaknesses: limited focus on contemporary literature and digital humanities. Prepares well for academics, writing, and teaching careers.

The sociology course teaches me the norms of our society and family we live in. This course will provide a vast knowledge about the society and culture and this made me to choose this course. The time given is enough to complete the course and to understand it . The exams are conducted after every six months so the difficulty level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
