Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum of the Department is good enough to know to real world uses of the systems, objects, knowlegde. The college conduct visits to many industries and has MOA with many. Each department has their MOA with industries. This helps in getting internships during the final year. They asked to do projects in each sem which helps in developing the ability to handel components and learn. I think faculties should try new methods to teach and there should be a modification of the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies coming for the recruitment also offers internship to the placed students. companies offer offline internship and sometimes virtual internships too based on the project. Some IT companies offer internship to core barnches students too. College arranges and also asked students to find internships for themself.

Placement Experience

4

Students in Final year are eligible for the palcements. Before the placements, Campus Recruitment Training(CRT) is conducted which is compulsory for each final year student. Mock interview and GD are conducted for students. Comapnies like - TCS,PGS, Global logic, Infosys, L&T, LTI mindtree, LTTS, Mahindra & Mahindra, DarwinBox, Roboyo hyperautomation, ZOHO, IBM, Toront Power, JSW, etc. The average package offerd is 3-4 LPA, Highest is 11-14 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70-80%. My plans after the degree is doing a job and then go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure and scholarship details are as follow:- yearly fee structure - open Category : 1,50,000 per year, OBC : 87,000-88,000 , SC/ST: 30,000 per year. I am OBC candidate so I have paid 87000 per year. Rs 5000 for the CRT during final year. There is Exam fees too for each semester i.e. 3000 per Sem. There is scholarship for SC/ST and Freeship for OBC and othere category. As OBC, I receive the half of the exam fee i.e 3000 Rs. The fees for the BTech program are generally stable and do not see significant increase each year. Student can anticipate consistent fee amounts throughout the course duration.

Campus Life

4

The name of the Anuual feast is "YASH". It includes many technical, sports, open mic, talent shows, dramas, etc and many other events. There is also Techfeast in which each department participates each one of them have different names and slogans and they compete with each other. Like "ICON" (ETC dep.),Compufeast(CT dep),Itechroots(IT dep.),etc. Library has there online portal on which almost books are available in the E-form, many journals , PYQ, latest research paper ,etc are available. Library has many books related to each department and higher studies books too, and general books are also available. It has bonds with other libraries in India. There are intercollege competitions, good players are supported at each level, state, national. There are many clubs too. Sports, cultural, dance, singing, drama, astronomy, tech, coding, poetry, etc. It helps in developing contacts , social life and encourage students to participate in events.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities include cleaning , maintainance of the the electricity, electrical furniture, coolers during summer are made available. Meal quality is also good. Hostel rooms has to be booked during the admission process. The fee structure is - 2 seater -1 lakh 3 seater-80,000 , 4 seater-70,000. The rooms and flats near college area is affordable and there are many PG's too.

Admission

I applied to many colleges during the CAP round. I applied for COEP,etc. From Nagpur I applied for Ramdeobaba College of Engineering, but as my percentile was 82 only, i got a call from YCCE, nagpur. At that time I comapered YCCE with other colleges in Nagpur, it is a nice college among others. It has good placements, opportunities and good faculties. I never regretted my decision. I got admission from OBC Females category. YCCE excepts JEE mains , MHT-CET score for the admission.

Faculty

3

The overall faculties are good. They are helpful, experienced, good in teaching as well. The college conduct semesterwise pattern there are 4 exams i.e Mid sem 1, Mid sem 2, ReMid sem(for who missed Mid sem 1 or 2),and End sem. The no. of students who fail are less only, it all depend on the subject cutoff and diffuclty of the paper.

Interview Experience

2

There is no GDPI during the admission process. There is no interview for the admission. The admission is based on CET or JEE score only. The college is alloted during the CAP round. The admission is also possible through management Quota.

Night Life

4

There are many small shops, cafes near college. Students are allowed to roam in college at night. Girls are not allowed because considering there safety. there is a gym in college too near boys hostel. The in time of hostels is 9 pm. In Nagpur there are many good places to visit with friends like NIT garden, Zilpi lake, Ambazari, temples , etc.
