Course Curriculum Overview

3

Relevant to the current market and industry trends and requirements as Artificial Intelligence is in great demand as everyone wants automated things to ease out their life. This course contained subjects like Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Analysis, Natural Language Processing, etc. which compelled to explore this course. This curriculum prepares is well for the industry trends making us eligible to contribute towards the cause for humanity. Course needs to be more practical than theoretical. And teaching methods need to be adaptive according to the changing time and requirements. I think exams should be reduced so that students can focus on the practical aspects and implementation.

Internships Opportunities

3

I got an opportunity to work in a Startup named Unsaid Talks which was aimed at taking knowledge and inferences from the placed students and publishing it in a systematic manner on its website and application. I worked for 5 months as an interviewer there and got to take interviews of 5 placed students which eventually helped me learn a lot about the interview process. It was a volunteer internship. One project was to represent our Unsaid Talks in a tech event in the University and basically promote as much as possible our initiative of helping out freshers to crack the interviews easily.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are reasonably good as almost all the students get placed at a decent average package. From Semester 6 students are eligible for the placements. Digivridhhi, Fourkites, Primsberry etc. Highest Package - 2000000 Rupees Lowest Package - 200000 Rupees

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 230000 Rupees as Course fees for BE AI yearly. Transportation Charges varies from 35000-40000 Rupees per semester. Hostel fees is around 70000 Rupees per semester. Tution Fees is 230000 Rupees of my course. There is no registration or admission fees or any other compulsory charges. BE CSE Tution Fees is 170000 Rupees yearly for our batch. The fees keeps on increasing every year for the new batches. There is no Scholarship or financial aid as such.

Campus Life

4

Rangrezz, National Theatre Festival, DJ Nights, Standup Shows, etc. Almost every month. Library is amazing and well managed.Good range of books is available there. Almost all the necessary facilities are provided. A strong support is given to sports and extra curricular activities. Various student run clubs motivates and energise the youth. Rangrezz is usually held in November and other concerts and live shows are held anytime as scheduled. Facilities and Technological provisions are decently fine and supportive which gives a blend of digital and traditional way of teaching. This University greatly supports sports, NCC and other extra curricular activities and provides a healthy environment and infrastructure for its promotion.

Admission

I chose this college because AI was not available in other colleges and also the discipline of this college is well reputed. I applied on other college too but for other course and also got accepted but I rejected them as I wanted only AI. No I didn't get a rejection from other college. Admission process for our college is very clear as they have some set criterias which students have to meet. JEE, NEET, CAT, CSAT, etc. are all accepted.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is very high approximately to 1:100. Relationship between faculty and students is good but with some professors only. They are mildly approachable. I like Dr. Anuj Gupta very much as he taught us in a very interesting way and also told us the truth of life. I didn't like Dr. Vandana Sood and Dr. Kamal Deep Garg as much as they were now easily approachable and didn't understand students emotions. There are multiple exams as Mid Semester, Formative Assessments, Practicals, Vivas, Project Presentations and End Semesters. Exams are moderate. More than 70% pass the exams and course curriculum is moderately relevant to the real life industry experience.

Night Life

3

As in nightlife is healthy and mesmerizing. The students after spending all day long among academics, interests hangs around in the bright moon light and relax their mind and soul while spending good time with friends and chit chatting and after having the dinner , they have a walk and chill around. Till 12 you can hand around within the college but after that we have to reach respective hostels. Some of the famous hangout places include Square One, Alpha Zone, Omega Zone, Beta Zone, Tree House etc.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.
