A honest review of my college Galgotias college of engineering and technology.

The B.Tech curriculum offered by our college enables the student to get foundational knowledge in engineering principles. With a variety of industry relevant subjects and practical labs I was able to start my B.Tech journey to align with my carrier aspirations.

There are many companies visit in our college and provides internship to the students. Companies like L&T and a recent news says that there is a bond formed between the college and WIPRO which helps students for internships.

Our college provides in campus placements to the students in the college. There is a seperate placement cell in the college which helps students during their placements. I guess from 6th or 7th semester students are ready for placements. Many companies like Accenture, HCL, Cognizant, Wipro, Airtel, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, IBM etc. are visited in the college for placements and many offers are made by them. The highest placement of the college is around 32 lakhs per annum and the average package is arount 4.25 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get a secured job in IT sector after complition of this degree.

The total fees of our college is 115603 rupees in which 20000 was paid at time of UPTAC councelling and rest 95603 rupees was paid directly to college at time of admission. 109603 is total tution fees our college and rest are other fees like lab, admission, development and caution fees. And we have paid extra 1000 rupees to get our student ID card. For fees waiver students who are admitted from UPTAC councelling have to pay only 6000 rupees and do not need to pay tution fees. And nearly 7500 rupees is also required to pay during semester examinations directly to AKTU for university examination. And you can also avail UP scholorship in our college.

The annual fest of our college name is Galgotias Unifest held in nearly april. There are many types of books along with journals available in the college library which can easily be accessed by students with the help of their college ID card. There are projectors in each class which help students to get deep knowlwdge about the topic. There is a big ground in the college for the students playing cricket, volleyball and batminton etc. There are many clubs in the college in which students can join to come together and share their thoughts and area of interests which help them to buid their skills and creating good connections to others. There is a seperate student portal for each students which provides each and every details of the student,like attendece, exam details, assignments, faculties, fees and many more. This help students to track their record and pay their fees directly via portal.

During UPTAC councellinng I applied in colleges like IET lucknow, BIET jhansi, GL BAJAJ NOIDA and KNIT sultanpur along with GCET. I got seat in GL BAJAJ according to my rank in jee mains exam but did not accept it because of high fees and strictness in that college. Thats why I accept GCET over GL BAJAJ because of low fees and best faculty. I got rejection from college like IET LUCKNOW, BIET JHANSI AND KNIT SULTANPUR because of low rank in jee mains. The jee mains exam is accepted for the admission in B.Tech course in GCET. You have to first qualify the jee mains exam with decent marks so that you cross the cutoff of the course you are going to take admission in.

The faculties in my college are too good and their way of teaching is fabulous. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good. THe relation between students and faculties is best and they treat us like their friend. I like Ravindra Ydav sir the most who teaches us electrical engineering. The way he teahes is best and sometime he provides knowledge about life experiences. Each faculty is best in the college. There are 3 exams held by the college which are CAE-1, CAE-2 and PUT and 1 semester exam called as AKTU exam or university exam or end semester is held in each semester. CAE-1 and CAE-2 is of 40 marks each and PUT is of 100 marks for each subject. Dificulty of the exam is not very high but decent and question paper is made on the basis on AKTU exams question paper. Some students are unable to pass the examination. The course curriculam is very relevant with the current scenario and industry demand.

Our college is near knowledge park 2 metro station and just behind indian expo plaza. There are many places like Grand Venice Mall, and other malls and EXPO MART near our college and many hangouts area are near it. There are many public areas and cafeterias here. I do not reside in the campus hostel so I do not know the timing but college starts at 9:00 AM and classes are over at 4:50 PM.
