College experience as a day scholar

The course has a variety of subjects so sometimes there are relevant subjects and there are times where they include subjects of absolutely no importance. The training varies too and there are no interest based trainings.

This year the placement ratio was significantly low and only few mass hiring companies came to the college. The companies were either startups and have no significant market presence or they were recruiting selective students. The main goal is now to avail a offer off-campus or to change the focus to some other competitive exams for higher studies.

the college charges an annual fee of 1,80,300 while i have to pay only half of the total fees because i availed tuition fee wavier because of my JEE score. The college did not provide a detailed fee structure and only total sum is made available to us. The eligible can avail scholarships from aktu otherwise there are no such relaxations in fees. Only selected students can avail tuition fee wavier for which you have to apply during aktu counselling. The scholarship is only applicable to students having reservation and weak financial background.

The campus has had a lot of ups and downs. The social aspects was extremely low due to it being more classroom oriented. Apart from this I participated in a club where i was offered a management position and event organisation during college fests named IGNITIA held in the month of march. The college is equipped with good amount of books for most topic coverage. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and speakers. Seats have personal sockets for devices. The sports is more accessible for hostellers has inter-college events. The student do have pages which include blogging, daily life, college life and multiple groups and clubs for specialised purposes.

the only reason i choose this college was because i availed fee wavier and our financial condition was not so good back then. I failed to score good marks in JEE advanced or else i would've enrolled in some iit. The college does try to match its pace with tier 1 colleges but there's a lot more to be done. The college has direct as well as counselling based admission. Direct admission include a test and interview while counselling is done on the basis of competitive exam score

The college has a variety of some highly trained guest faculties to unexperienced faculties which fail to make us understand even the basic concepts. The course consists stream related subjects according to aktu curriculum .The exams were conducted by aktu but now college has become autonomous so the exams are getting conducted in college itself. The previous marking scheme included a total of 100 marks with 30 internal marks calculated on the basis of student's performance throughout the semester and 70 external marks are based on external papers.

I was a day scholar so i never had the opportunity to experience night life. Every hostel has a gym with open gyms as well. There are multiple outlets operating inside college which close around 9pm. Library timings are from 9am to 9 pm. The students are instructed to be back in hostel by 10pm. Hostel timings are 5am to 10pm. campus hours are from 9am to 5pm. There are no such hangout spaces in college except football and volleyball gorunds. THe college is under surviellance 24/7 which also comprise of guars at every major junction making it completely safe.
