Everything you need to know about IICT Bhadohi

After I completed my 12th standard I gave JEE Mains exam and as soon as the results came out I applied for the college. Since the college was near me so it was quiet easy for me to get there and collect the admission information I wanted. The registrar told me to get admission through JOSAA councelling and I did the same. The eligibility criteria is 12th pass. You can get the jee mains application form on net.

I choose the course because we have a family business of carpet and I had interest in that. The faculty is very nice over here. All of them are friendly to you and strict at the same time which I think they should be. There are 20 faculty members right now in our college. All the faculty members are well qualifued and best suited for theit post and most of them have done M.Tech in this field. Their teaching method is good. Since the college is affiliated to AKTU so the exams are timely done here according to the time table provided by the AKTU itself. And the paper is not so tough except 1st year.

We will get to do our internship in 6th semester and there you have option between internship and mini projects. As we heard from our seniors I can tell that the internship program is good here. Most of the students do internship and get to visit companies like raymod and all. Though I am not sure about the stipend as I myself have not done any internship till date

The campus selection have not been good since the pandemic and mostly the top layer is offered job in campus placements. But since Bhadohi is a carpet hub so you don't have to worry about placements and focus on your studies. There are many companies that visit our college like Vardhaman, Standard Carpets, Champo, Surya Carpets, Agni, and many more ( You can get the list of company on IICT's official website). The highest package offered was about 10 lakhs by Standard Carpets( Dubai ) and the acerage package is 3-4 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed by campus selsction is 30-35 and then some of the students give GATE entrance exam and go for higher studies in reputated IITs. Some of the students get settled in their local areas.

The yearly fees is nearly 90000 and if included hostel fees it will go upto 130000. Since our college is central college so we get scholarship of nearly 50000 and get most of our tution fees back. You may also get study loan if you like. The campus selection is not so good after pandemic but now as I am seeing the selection rate will increase and the graph will go up.

The life at college is fantastic. We have annual fest, fresher's party, farewell party, teacher's day celebration, sport's week and all other cool stuff. The annual fest is held in november and a month later fresher's party is held. The library is full with books. You get every type of textile and carpet related books in it.
