Remarks

Being a part of the Delhi University , my college covers lesser area as compared to other colleges of the Delhi University. The campus is not well maintained. Tress and plants can be seen all around. There is an artificial aquatic system in the campus. But the classrooms are not well painted and maintained. The desks are broken and dust laiden. The paint is chipping off. The windows are broken and fans do not work. In summers it is difficult to sit even for an hour.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course is good. The curriculum must be updated according to me. My college also takes internal exams which is a good move. We have to pay examination fee prior to the exams and then only we get the admit card.

Placement Experience

2

There is a plancement cell in the college. The college also organizes internship fairs which all students can attend. I haven't done any internship yet but my seniors have. Students come formally dressed for the internship fairs.

College Events

1.5

Annual day Sports day Independence day Republic day All festivals and days are celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. College also organized yoga day. Moreover we have compulsory yoga classes on every 3rd Wednesday in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In DU generally fees is not an issue. The fees for all courses is quiet affordable. For all OBCs, SCs , STs and poor students, DU gives out scholarships. There are various scholarships available. The fees for my course is quiet higher than other courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarships. But there are numerous scholarships available. Students can get to know about them from the office. Scholarships for poor, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward castes. Scholarships also available for students excelling in examination. Top 3 students from each course are eligible for scholarships provided they are from poor families.

Campus Life

2

The college has a sports room, NSS room, NCC room. All the three departments are active. They regularly organise rallies and workshops. The science labs are functional and well equipped. I think my college lacks extra curricular activities. The college ground has been converted to hostel. So there is no ground in college which is very disappointing

Alumni/Alumna

There are various clubs and societies that are handled by the seniors. I was a part of the PHYSCOM society of my college. They organise various activities, events and workshops throughout the year. It is an active society but I think the students are not responsible enough. I don't have much idea about the alumini network.

Admission

I applied at the official website of Delhi University - www.du.ac.in. I had a percentage more than the cut off of Kalindi College. I went to the college through a can. I got to know the admission process. I bought the form and college broucher from the office. I filled the form and submitted the documents that were required. Then I was supposed to go to the computer lab to get the documents verified and choose other optional subjects. Soon after, I received a message saying admission confirmed.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good. In the first semester the faculty was temporary. There are both ad hoc staff as well as permanent staff in DU colleges. The ad hoc staff is more punctual than the permanent staff. The permanent staff is also punctual and responsible, moreover they are always available.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
