AKGEC Review

AKGEC is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow where curriculum offers a well defined path for covering engineering core subjects, ensuring a strong foundation, provide well-equipped labs, and provides internships and good placement and provides industrial visits. In every month, there is a sessional test which prepares for university exams. There are 3 tests in each semester like 2 sessional test and 1 pre-university test which makes you prepare for university exam and it provides good internal and external marks.

There are many internship opportunities provided by the college within different company. The college provides internship after 3 year. There is a internship break in the college for 2 months where all branches students are doing internship with their intrested field. They provide paid internships and online internships where online internship can be done anytime according to your preferences. The college provides internships in different companies like Infosys, HCL, TCS, Microsoft, L&T, etc. There are many opportunities provided by college so that you will eligible for good placement.

Overt 80% of students get placed which having more than 60% aggregate and the higher rates in branches like CSE,IT&ECE but Core branches like Civil & Mechanical having good palcement records .The average package of our college ranges between INR 4-5 LPA and highest package INR 1 Crore Companies like TCS,ATS,Jakson, Infosys,HCL,VIVO, Wipro etc .There are many students placed by off-campus opportunities where sometimes off-campus opportunities has higher package than campus placement . Also some off-campus opportunities are provided for placement for better palcement.Mostly students get placed in all respective branches.

The fee structure of our college as follows- 1 Year - Rs 142156 (including all fees such as tuitiion fee,registration fee, admission fee, etc. ) 2 Year - Rs 120656 3 Year - Rs 115956 4 Year - Rs 116256 The Scholarship Details are- B.tech Merit-based scholarship at akgec offers upto 40-50% of the tuition fee for students securing above 65% in B.tech and attendance above 75% with no carry overs

The overall experienced is good with my campus life. The college has different cultural clubs such as Renaissance, Footprint,Taal, Euphony, etc and also there are technical clubs like Nirmaan, Oorja, Conatus etc. In this college, there is no fest is organized where only fresher's and farewell's fest are organised. Each cultural clubs organise their respective events in the college where many freshers can take part. There are technical fest organises in the college by the technical clubs in the college. Now for academic, each classrooms has smartboards and projectors, Library has more than 1000 books, journal,digital resources , each hostel has their own library where student of hostel can study. The faculties in the college use samart board for teaching using PPt's ,videos,images etc. There many equipped library where practicals are done.

Hostel accommodation is very good other than rented places beacuse rented are far away from college. But rented x places such as P.G. and Flats are more economical than college hostels . In rented places approx monthly expenses lies between 8k-10k per month. In Hostel Accommodation, the following charges are- For Boys- 1 Year- Rs 1,35,000 (Double Seater room Only) 2 Year- Rs 1,25,000 (Triple Seater room Only) 3 Year- Rs 1,35,000 (Single room seater) and they also have choice between single and triple seater rooms 4 Year - Rs 1,35,000 (single seater room) and they also have choice between single and triple seater rooms For Girls, only double seater and triple rooms are there for all year girls with same charges. Hostel mess has 4 times meals and it has decent food quality with different meals according to the menu. The registration is done during the admission process if you are intrested then fill the form of hostel.

I choosen this due to their academic reputation, infrastructure, placements records,etc. I had taken admission with the entrance of UPSEE score and JEE mains score are also accepted for the admission. My UPSEE rank wasn't competitive enough for certain prestigious institutions. I had been alotted with 2 institutions i.e. AKGEC and KIET, Ghaziabad so i had choosen AKGEC due to academic and placement records and at that time AKGEC holds superior ranking than KIET,Ghaziabd

AKGEC maintains a balanced faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15 and mostly faculties are very supportive,and extremely talented and also provides career guidance. A few faculties have lack of clarity in explanation,etc. Exam Pattern: Each semester has three internal exams in college like 2 ST's and 1 PUT(Pre-university test) and 1 is unviversity test which is totally based on AKTU pattern. AKTU follows follows CGPA pattern and minimum passing mark is 30%. Marks are distributed among sessional exam,assignment,practicals and university exams, etc.

Each hostel has their own gym and opening of Gym timing is 5-8 PM and 6-7 AM and Closing for boys hostel is 10 PM and for Girls 6 PM and no late night activities are allowed in the college. The opening and closing time of library are 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM and during exam 8:30 AM to 12:00 midnight. The campus timing is 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. My favourite place for hangout is football ground. The famous hangout palces are Football ground, Hostel, Sanchi, etc.
