Remarks

Positive: the college offers bus facility for students who arrive from far. The buss fee structure is also moderate. Negative: The attitude of man agent towards students could be a little bit more warm.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Its a college affiliated to MG University. So, curriculum is according to university guidelines. I think its good. Emphasises on theory and practical learning equally. Exams are held semester wise. Internal exams are held prior to the university exams, giving the students a kind of mock test before facing the main exams and thereby relieving exam related stress.

Placement Experience

1.5

So far, placement opportunities haven't reached the college. The college sends students to job fairs conducted in other colleges in order to get a job. This helps many students to secure a job before graduation, but the jobs won't exactly be what they studied in college.

College Events

2.5

Every year fresher's day, Union day, Onam, Christmas, college day, arts and cultural fest, sports and games day were celebrated in the college. These can be cancelled or other celebratory events maybe added according to the decision of the college union and management.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is rather moderate, when compared to other self financing colleges. The semester fees for Bsc. Biotechnology is around 19500, if paid late, an extra amount of 200 should be paid as fine.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarship or loan facilities from the college. My friend on the other hand had a loan from a nearby bank. The management say they give scholarship and fee concession for meritorious and financially backward students, however, I've never came across anybody who has received such a thing.

Campus Life

2.5

The extra curricular activities are below par excellence. A medium sized football ground and a cricket nets for practice is available, but there's no coach available for training young athlete for any sports. The management however doesn't say no to student's sporting wishes. The college cricket team went on without a coach to be the semi finalists of mg university men's cricket tournament.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are definitely not of any help. All of them usually don't even cares to come back, or have contact with the ones currently studying. Everyone busy with their own work. The only alumni we see are the peeps who failed in exams and come to write their supplementary exams every semester

Admission

Since its a self financing college, I took admission via management quota. I met up with the manager, had a brief interview, enquired about the fee structure and other details. Then submitted my admission application form and paid the required fees.

Faculty

2.5

To be honest, College faculty is average. There are qualified professionals to teach each subjects, but many lack the enthusiasm in bringing out the best in a student. The laboratory facilities are pretty good. The microbiology Lab is completely air conditioned and there's a biotechnology laboratory funded by the DSE operating in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of KTU (Kerala Techinical university) is very tough ,outdated system, teaching method is very wrong, old method are using here, semester time period is short, student can't catch their subject on this time period, 6 subject with 12 module or more complete in 2.5 months after this immediatly exam starts,so need more time interval for learning and add more partical based activities in curriculum, theriocal subject is more compare to partical, student are just by heart some portion and attenting exam, so they don't know partical working of machines

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

I would rate it on a solid 10/10 as I haven't been this happy ever. The college atmosphere and the teachers, and all facilities are like our bestfriends. We are all like one solid family and I think that's the biggest blessings any student can get from their college.
