Likes

fees structure according to me is quite affordable.
there are best teachers, with lots of experience they had.

Dislikes

college environment is satisfactory, not much better as i expected.
college's condition is not much good as expected.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teaching methods are the best as each teacher has his/her way of teaching their subject so students can easily understand. But, I'm not delighted as there is no such opportunity for internships where any company can hire a student and they can do the work of their choice.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for any scholarship, the total fees for whole graduation degree is approximately 1 lakh rupees (33000 something each year) and other categories pay less than me as some them are under sc/st/obc category but, I m under general category. i just wanted to earn some money as a side earnings, for temporarily utilising my time in best way..

Campus Life

its been my 3rd year in graduation, till now I have experienced lots of things, I got some best classmates, and also good teachers, their teachings and friendly nature with all students which I liked so much about my college.

Admission

I just chose this college because of the best teachers and a very good advantage that its near to my city , where I can travel easily, and also the fees structure is affordable as if we compare it to other colleges.

Faculty

Teachers are very lenient and well experienced, our relationship with teachers is very friendly. if we talk about the faculty to student ratio, its like 1 teacher per 40 or 50 students for each class.

Night Life

the college is situated little outside the city near railway station of my city. the national highway passes near our college, surrounded by homes, fields, and many more things. it is easy for the local ones specially to attend college nearby .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like tech mahindra, airtel, delloitte,etc visited for campus Placements. The highest package this year was 9 Lakhs. And average package this year was 6 lakhs. Near around 97% students got campus placement. After getting degree my plan is to opt for MBA in finance from a good reputed college .
