Likes

Campus and infrastructure are very good as dsce is around in 29 acres.
For every department, they've different buildings which is so good.
So many intra and inter department competition held and students can engages not only in academics but in co circular activities.

Dislikes

Professor doesn't help in case of low attendance even though it was genuine medical reason or something.
Schedule is so hectic as every month students will have internals.
They don't semester breaks and after completion of one sem, in just 2-3 days they'll start new sem that is the worst part

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is fully relevant and comprehensive to resptice branch. As I'm in aeronautical engineering, all my subjects are related to that only. One bad thing is it'll not gonna help you in real world cause everything is theoretical nit properly experimental to handle a job but for this, professors always helps and suggest alternatives or help through their connections.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I'm paying is 2.8 lakhs including everything except hostels as I joined the college through comedk exam. Those who joined through kcet, for them it's 1.2 lakhs. No scholarship is available for students.

Campus Life

There are so many clubs from dance, music to coding, mathematics and even social helping clubs too. Students can join any of the club. In the beginning I joined so many clubs as I wanna try all the things, so it was one of the best college experience.

Admission

I choose 3 colleges rvce, bmsce and dsce but because if my comedk rank I got dsce aeronautical branch. Admission process is so simple as I'm not from Karnataka so I'd to give comedk and based on comedk councelling I got this college.

Faculty

Every department has their own professors acoording to respective circular but the ratio is like 7 on 70. Some faculties are so good in teaching and explaining every concepts but they set exam paper so tough but that good also in some manner Every month students have internals and after 3 internals, there'll sem end exams.

Interview Experience

As I'm not from Karnataka, so I'd to give comedk exam which is based on 12th class pcm or pcb. According to rank in comedk exam, we participate in comedk counselling and choose college and that's how I gotthis college in 3rd counselling round of comedk.

Night Life

In college, we've gym, canteen and food truck. College gate opens till 7pm for everyone and 9:30pm for hostel students after that no one can go inside ir come outside till morning 6am. Nightlife is so good as college is full of trees and campus is kindah beautiful, we always walk during night time and it's so peaceful.

Spent my 4 years in good place but with not so good people

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.

Review Of Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering.

I choose this college because of the location and the placements. The college is 45 years old and has a good connection in the industry. The placements are also decent. The location of the college is really beautiful. One will find all the necessities near and around the college itself. I didn't perform well in my jee examinations, but my comedk exam went well, so I came to this college. There are 3 ways to take addmission in this college. 1st is through Comedk exam which is for all the students, inside and outside Karnataka, 2nd is through the KCET exam which is only for the Karnataka students . I took admission through Comedk, it's available online, you can attempt after or while appearing for your 12th Board exams. No reservation, as I'm from north and general category student.
