Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is so far good. There are minor flaws but that is acceptable. The cse department and the information Science department have a good course curriculum. We also have skill labs which helps us in developing new skills relevant to the current scenario. The college provides a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate programs accross the engineering department. I feel that certain subjects within the curriculum can be more theoretical than practical.

Internships Opportunities

3

The intership opportunities are decent in the college. Not all but majority students gets the intership. There is not much data available for the intership. I am not much aware about it but all I know that college provides decent intership opportunities here which will surely increase in the upcoming years.

Placement Experience

4

The placements opportunities in this college is decent. The average package for the cse and related department is around 9 to 10 lakhs per annum. The intership opportunities are aslo decent. The highest package from this college is of 56 lakhs. The placement percentage of this college is over 95% . There are many companies visiting this college, some of them are Amazon, Bosch, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Google, Hitachi, Infosys, Microsoft, Oracle, Mercedes, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee paid in DSCE is approximately 313000 inr in which college fee is 281477 inr and we have other fee of 32000 inr which includes the university fee and skill lab fee and outside Karnataka fee. The fee for the management quota is around 4 lakhs and the donation for the cse department is around 16-20 lakhs. The category is only applicable for the Karnataka students, and therefore I am not aware of the fees. The scholarships are majorly available for the home state students. There is no merit scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The Furore is the annual fest of this college. The fest is very huge and very nicely conducted. Mant celebrities have visited this college. Furore is generally conducted in March month. The library of this college is well maintained and have a huge number of books covering all the aspects of all different fields. The library has 7 Floors. Sport facilities are ok-ok types and not much. The clubs are very good and has a vast variety contained.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is decent. The morning facility is good but the night facility is strict. There are some restrictions in the hostel, and the strictness increases especially in the night shift. The meal quality of the Indian hostel is good whereas for the nri hostel the food quality is very bad. Thr local areas also have a lot of pg and flats for rents.

Admission

I choose this college because of the location and the placements. The college is 45 years old and has a good connection in the industry. The placements are also decent. The location of the college is really beautiful. One will find all the necessities near and around the college itself. I didn't perform well in my jee examinations, but my comedk exam went well, so I came to this college. There are 3 ways to take addmission in this college. 1st is through Comedk exam which is for all the students, inside and outside Karnataka, 2nd is through the KCET exam which is only for the Karnataka students . And 3rd ine is through the management quota.

Faculty

3

The facility of this college is decent. Some of the teachers are chill whereas some of them are very strict. The facility to student Ratio is around 1:55 there is one teacher in a section for one subject. The college conducts a lot of exams. In a semester we have 3 internals , 1 lab internal, 1 minor subjects internal, and the semester end examination. Between all of this, we also have to attend the assignment, quizzes, open book tests, etc. The shedule is a bit hectic here.

Interview Experience

1

There were no group discussion or interview but there was an entrance exam known as comedk for the admission in various colleges in Karnataka. The syllabus for the comedk exam is same as the jee mains syllabus.

Night Life

4

There is not much night life for the hostel students because the closing time for them is 9:30 pm for boys and 9:00 pm for girls. Although there and many places where students can visit and hangout with their friends. There are many gyms, cafeterias, clubs, restaurants, parks available near the college.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
